Faustina, Empress of Nature

Faustina used to be a traveling nurse who specialty with the healing properties of plants. Her mom used to be a botanist, and going around and collecting healing herbs really made an impression on her growing up. Through the process, she learned she wanted to help people with these and learn how to make all different kinds of medicines from it. She has created maps detailing what plants can be found where, a quick references on what they do, and so much more. Spreading this knowledge around became a goal for her. After a lot of the knowledge became easily accessible, she settled down in Avere Divina, and occasionally traveled out to help heal wounded dragons from different battles. In one of these instances is how she met her mate Aurelius. has seen a lot of blood, but it never gets any easier. An old friend of hers asked her to come to the clan they had been living in, as a terrible skirmish had broken out an injured many dragons. She hurried as quick as possible, and immediately went to work fixing up dragons. The one in front of her, though, was hurt pretty badly. From what she heard though, who ever fought him was ten times worse. She had came to change his bandages, but she was surprised by the wheezing cough the dragon let out. She look towards him, and was surprised to see stunning red eyes. There was a beat of silence. Then another. "Are you an angel?" "What?" The two of them start sputtering and feeling embarrassed. "I-I'm sorry, geez, that was embarrassing" the red dragon said, moving his claws to cover his face. "It's...uhm... it's fine" Faustina mumbled out, and continued changing his bandaged. Quick and easy. Yet, she didn't want to leave, wanted to find an excuse to stay a moment longer with this strange dragon. "What's your name" "Aurelius" he says, finally moving his claws away from his face. "Aurelius," she repeats, a slight smile "I'm Faustina" The two grin at each other, feeling a spark between them. Faustina and Aurelius had been together for awhile. They had become established in Avere Divina, between Faustina's outstanding knowledge of medical arts and Aurelius triumphs in battle, the two were invited to the mysterious town from a letter. That had been a few years ago. Now, the two have an even greater milestone. The two have had a hatchling, a baby of their very own. Her arcane eyes sparkle wide, and she yawned. The two laughed at the little hatchling, the two laying flat as possible, heads eye level with her. "She's gonna do amazing things" Faustina whispers, the same sparkle in her eyes, just like their hatchling. "She'll shake the world. Form it wherever she goes" Aurelius whispers. The two new parents turn and lock eyes, looking at each other. "Baby Lucilla. Born from us. Her destiny written in the stars." Faustina says, excitement in her voice as she nuzzles her mate "Lucilla, destined to always make us proud, because she is our baby, and that is enough." Aurelius replies. |
