She's the antsy type, never wanting to stay in one place too long. She and her hunting partners spend most of their time exploring the corners of Sornieth, looking for new prey to hunt. A fighter at her core, Rose values strength as her best asset. She is the forefront of the hunting pack, made up of herself, her husband [url=http://flightrising.com/main.php?p=lair&tab=dragon&id=67301&did=3521115]Hawthorne[/url], and best friend [url=http://flightrising.com/main.php?p=lair&id=67301&tab=dragon&did=3813238]Amethyst[/url]. Fast as the blink of an eye, Rose is always the one to strike first, and the effect is devastating--with her long, lithe body, and jaws that can strangle her prey in seconds, it's hardly a fight when Rose is involved. She prefers brute force over magic, enjoying the sound and sensation of her prey's spine snapping as she squeezes and twists their neck with her body. She can cast extremely powerful elemental bolts as well, but makes the conscious choice to fight only via physical means. Despite her brutality on the battlefield, Rose prefers to keep a demure and soft appearance when not hunting. She plays with the soft cloth of her cloak, wringing it gently in her hands, and flutters her eyelashes as if flirting with others. However, the demure act ends at this, as she has a big mouth, and loves to tell everyone her brutally honest opinions. If you don't mind that, though, she makes for surprisingly pleasant--if not overly flirty--company. But dragons that anger her, more often than not, end up dead. She is not the type to be crossed with. She was practically feral, uncontrollable and untamable, and scared most everyone she met. However, she insisted on coming back, finding the dragons there "intriguing;" and so, through time, found a home here. Besides being an Arcane-aligned dragon, no one knows where Rose came from, or what her story is. She doesn’t bother to talk about it, even when asked; she’s not one to care about frivolous things such as “the past.” Rose is a dragon that lives in the here and now. The only thing everyone agrees on is that her eyes twinkle and sparkle like stars. The ice clinked lightly against her sharp keratin nails, accentuating the pointed fangs that peeked out of her vaguely dangerous smile. "It's been a while since I was with a Ridgeback, I must say," she whispered, her eyes naturally wandering over to glance at Hawthorne across the room. He was excitedly chattering up a quiet Coatl, who seemed only politely interested in his conversation. What a shame, they were quite cute. The rumbling voice of her own partner brought her attention immediately back to him, his own Arcane eyes boring into hers, his smile also bordering on dangerous. She liked a partner that could put up a fight, and it sent shivers down the length of her body to think of what might come. "You know," he began, "I know a great hill nearby, with a very scenic view of the stars... Although, nothing could compare to the stars in your eyes." He traced a long, curved claw along the underside of her neck, stopping just at the tip of her chin, causing her shivers to intensify, her tail curling in anticipation... But her shivers stopped cold as she felt Arcane magics dripping down her face, the remnants of a spell cast on her physically pouring down her form as the spell uselessly slid off her. Her expression dropped for a second, and the Ridgeback looked pleased, but she quickly recovered, returning the smug smile on his face with her own, twisted between a snarl and utter amusement. The Ridgeback's face fell in return, unsure of what was happening. This spell had always worked before-- "Well, it seems we have a very naughty boy here indeed," she spoke, the last word turning into a growl. The Ridgeback recoiled, but it was too late, and she launched herself immediately at the larger dragon's neck, fangs sinking into the jugular, her body coiling around his neck and shoulders, limiting his movements. The force of the lunge threw him back, and he hit the floor with a rumbling [b]THUMP[/b], the patrons at the bar letting out shouts and screams at their surprise of the sudden confrontation. The Ridgeback grabbed a section of her body, firing an elemental bolt point-blank at her skin, but it bounced off, splitting and hitting a chair and a few tables, one fragment passing inches over the head of a speechless Snapper seated nearby. Personally, I would have chosen other genes, but as you have art of her already I won't do any gene change suggestions. Lore wise, there's a lot to unpack here. First of all, her personality reminds me of one of my friends, she's a small fellow, only 5'1'', but one that has been learning aikid? for her whole 19 years of age(actually only through 13 years), and she could fold clothes with people still in them if angered. So yes, big respect for this dragon here that reminds me of my friend.
