Ekimmu

When she looks back, she can see only a haze of pain. Occasionally there are spires and shards, a yellow star-filled sky, but all too soon it disappears into agony. They found her, covered in scars and fresh, bright wounds, curled beneath a thicket, her mind as splintered as her body. Even in the deep sleep of suffering she screamed when touched.

Disir brought her back, as only the motherly dragon could do. She remembered nothing, not even her name, so they called her Ekimmu, 'death-walker'. Only Disir can approach her, treat her, comfort her. Anyone else becomes her newest victim.

Until Oleander. His bright, garish colors broke through the shade that covered her mind, brought her back to a semblance of life that Disir could only pray for. Although their respective clans still hold animosity, the pair have found a partnership. They don't need words, or grand gestures. Only the rush of the hunt.
