This dragon is a strange one. He has chosen no name, and no name given to him has ever stuck.

One day, on a mining excursion, this dragon came upon an odd piece of jewelry, and took it home. When he put it on, the world around him changed. The dirt and stone around him felt different, almost alive, with the new presence it had, and he found that it practically melted away when he dug through it. Curious, he focused his magic on a stone and moved it, not through the Wind he was naturally gifted, but through some sort of Earth magic. Upon realizing that it was the band he was wearing that caused it, he immediately took it as his charge, and vowed to unlock its magical secrets. He rejected the position that was his birthright as a child of a clan founder, and devoted his time to magic. While he has made progress both by himself and with the help of other mages, he has yet to fully understand his charge. He yearns for a talented Earth mage to come to the town, in hopes that they will help him to reach his goal.
