In a faraway world, he dared to make a single wish deep in his heart. Descended from the heavens beyond, he searches for a certain someone to make it come true. By great fortune, it is now the case. Reunited with his mate, Idosrium, the land finds his joy warm and all-encompassing, a smile that doesn't waver. |
“From afar, the angelic and trained grace that Berith walks with is almost breathtaking. Confidence permeates through every motion, even when he seems to shy away. One can easily assume that he is often found in a good mood, what with that lingering smile that plays about full lips and pushes beneath thick lashes, and they’re not entirely wrong since Berith basks in the movement of life more often than not. Any harsh memories are kept to the back, only to be rewatched if those experiences play a factor in what decision he ought to make next. He suppresses most of his negative side, resulting in him being torn between flight or freeze when confronted with major stressors he cannot continue in front of.
“Pleasant and somewhat talkative are traits that tend to be attached to Berith after a quick conversation. He likes to socialize and be socialized with, thrives when he can be around people even when it might be more a crowd than just a group. Physical contact is accepted more than it is initiated on his end, but he can be too quick to react when it is not from certain individuals.”
Setting Lore
Deep in a night that fluttered from cloudy to clear and back, a distant light briefly shone at the horizon. Most were asleep or away, thus rendering this a one-off phenomenon and nothing more.
It would have stayed this way if it wasn't for the beginning of an unusual sight becoming more and more regularly reported, albeit sparsely in number, detailing a land at sea that was most often near the territory of Wind. There was nothing to it beyond that, a pink-petaled land that had somehow been approved of by Windsinger, if it showing up here meant anything.
What truly happened that night was much like a catch. Land rose from the seafloor as though to catch the falling star, which did not even make a mighty splash. No, it was simply like a flash of iridescent light, hardly heavy enough to displace clear waters. There wasn't even a frightening rumble as earth met air, wood against gale, foundations forming in minutes for a building, nature spanning into pathways and blossoms. It was like a vision from a faraway dream.
By the time dawn brushed the clouds pink, a shrine stood at the heart of the land. There laid a dragon, feathered and graceful, asleep amongst soft covers. When he left the doors of the shrine to meet the sunlight, he was greeted by a friendly stranger who reminded him of somebody back home with his straightforward, taciturn disposition.
Berith, the one who formed at sunrise, knew that this one was not that same person.
Now that they're here in the world of Sornieth, he searches for his partner, should that partner not find him first.

The Divine Shrine never lingers for too long, yet all dragons who come to see it and its land as their home can find their way back eventually. Cherry blossoms and many other flowers have long since regarded it as such, growing together in harmony.
