Personality Bareth is an emotional dragon who's prone to outburst. Citziens of Zhul claim it to just be teenage angst. She knows better though. She can't help but feel empty, like an unfulfilled purpose. Most sentences she mutters out are snappy, filled to the brim with pessimism and a never ending sharp tone. Get past her rough exterior, and a tired young dragon just wishing to follow her family's purpose is left. She's warm to those who are close, accepting small bouts of affection History Bareth didn't know how to feel. She knew what her cause was, what she was born for. To find a Dreamer, and protect them. She hadn't expected to find such hardship in that task for. She shouldn't have this much difficulty though! She was practically perfect! A deep, rich golden color, a body that could take on an attacker and win. But still, she couldn't find a Dreamer to protect. It must have not been her appearance. It must've been how her talons shook while she trained, how her stance wasn't as perfect as it could be. So, she threw herself into her training, perfecting everything to the very last details. It took weeks, but it was for the better. Bareth's talons didn't shake when she held a weapon or when she attacked. Her feet fell into place perfectly with each practiced move. She struck harder than even her trainer after a few more weeks of living in just the training grounds. Still, she came back empty handed in trying to find a Dreamer, to fulfill her purpose. Her mother tried to sooth her. To tell her that it would take time, that not all things just fall into place at the same time. It did the opposite. It made anger boil inside her. She needed to run. And she did. She ran as fast as she could for as long as she could. Her legs started to ache after a while, but she didn't stop. The mess of emotions still raged under her skin, still burned hot in her veins. When the fire inside her finally burned its course, and the tears in her eyes finally stopped running, she found herself in shadow territory, meeting with a wall of thick fog. She looked back at the path she had came from, folding her ears back. She could turn back, the emotions have quelled their upset nature. Go back home, keep chasing her families purpose... Shaking her head, she sets her shoulders. She takes a step forwards, and makes her way through the mist. It had started with Pinenight. When he had came into the clan, she could feel a tug on her whole body, leaving her wide eye and gasping. Her Dreamer! It had been a rush of excitement, a cry of joy as that heavy feeling on her shoulders finally lifted. Though, it had stopped a little short when he had explained his predicament. He wasn't born right, he had told her. He didn't possess the powers his family had. The excitement from before hadn't returned. Instead, a strange warmth budded inside her. A defective Dreamer huh... It felt ironic to her but... He could understand her, knew where she came from. It had only been a short interaction. But she vowed to protect him. A small part of her screamed, vowing to be his friend Softcreek had completely blindsided her. Setting up their little corner, she had felt a strong tug on her being, making her tense in place. Pine had asked her what was wrong, but she couldn't say. Instead, her talons moved her, drawing her near to the city's entrance. Her eyes flew wide as she watched a small Nocturne enter beside some of her clanmates, soft blue runes decorating his body. Pinenight had rushed past her, excitingly greeting his family, but she caught the look in his eyes. She'd often had it herself when she had looked at her own family. And the strength of the tug had told her enough. This new dragon was a Dreamer, a true one. Her claws worried at the ground, scratching lines down in the ground. She should feel excitement, but all she felt was guilt. She had thought Pine would be enough, that he could fulfill his calling. The creeping feeling of another vow burned in the back of her mind. She had only heard it in stories whispered by her mother. Myths of Custodians who took on more than one Dreamer, who where held as heroes in her families eyes. She had never expected herself to be one of those myths. Bareth should've known. After all, the urge of vowing her protection had came with both Pinenight and Softcreek. Even if Pine said he was an exception, he still held his family's magick, still was part of the Dreamer line. But Darkflight and Palewing still caught her by surprise. The arrival of the two siblings caused her to feel like she was being pulled out of her own skin. Pine's eyes lit up when she started to move, being pulled in a direction unknown to even herself. Her heart skipped a beat when she saw the pair in front of her, soft smiles on their faces. The sound of Pine's and Soft's happy cries reached her ears, breaking her thoughts from the panicked recounting of what she thought were just legends. Two vows bubbled to the surface. And the hollow feeling in her finally boiled away.
