They laugh and sneer; their behavior a sickening cacophany of thousands of voices, none of which seems to be their own. Who are they, why are they? Yahel knows, but Yahel doesn't tell - their ivory lips, or rather their remains, are sealed tightly for every word that they speak is like poison that leaks from a wretched beasts maw ... aren't they just that? Thousands of tiny feathers sprout from their exposed skull, from their sore back - they are brittle as bone and sharper than a million knives. Their legs move on their own in haphazard patterns, thousands of parasites in their empty shell of a brain form thoughts for them, proclaim them an angel - they are their children, they demand sustenance, they want to move. Who was Yahel? What does it matter to thousands of hungry organisms? They are revered as a god, fearsome and powerful, all-knowing and eternal, despite being but a sack of decaying muscle that contorts in grueling spasms as their ivory armor grows and sinews divert from once blossoming flesh. Whoever the knight was, it doesn't matter, those memories are but a roadblock in their new path - their jaw dangles dangerously close to the ground as their young hunger: An endless thrall of voices, all in unison, just this once, as an amalgamation of rotten meat finds a common enemy, a prey. Perhaps it was never about who Yahel was, and more about who Yahel can be - the ivory bloodhound giggles without end - it hungers, still.
