Bitter and- her sister- Horrific. Children of Sol and Sombrierre, the Goddesses of Dusk and Dawn. Their names befit them, as any child who hatches with opal scars marring their bodies are cast aside by the two in favor of those whose midnight bellies glisten in the sun.

They are meant to serve the greater eleven deities, just as so many of their siblings before them, but- desperately- they search for clans who may give them a chance. To live amongst other dragons, perhaps form families of their own. eldest sister has. . .

Burdened by guilt and harsh anger, Horrific abandoned her homeland and her sister. It was a long trek finding anywhere to call home. Most of it was traveled alone, heartache being her closest friend. She yearned for acceptance from someone anyone. She often pondered returning, to see if her sister is still there, to feel loved.

The sunlight reflecting on her opal scars was a grim reminder that returning would never be an option.

Heavily forested areas became a safe place for her. No light. No reflections. No pain.

One day she found herself wandering into the swamp, a biome she'd never experiences. She flew from curled tree branches to another, gazing at the murky waters below. Curiously, she noticed another dragon perching upon a stump in the distance.
