Fen Lin

Fen Lin was one of the favored daughters of Kintsugi, and everyone at the Thousand Lights temple would call her the one that resembled her mother the most. She did not mind the comments, as she was completely indifferent about them. She loved to spend time playing around the Starwood Strand, and was good friends with Crimson Rain. The ridgeback would teach the Imperial about tricks of the arcane, and so she would use the powers to help the Thousand Lights. Until one day, her perfect life would be struck. The influence of the arcane, that day... everyone, including all the mischievous ghosts, went to seek shelter. Except for Fen Lin. She stayed behind, in awe, staring at the ever glowing sky. What was going on? It didn't matter, it was beautiful.
And then everything faded to black.
The... dragoness woke up to Crimson Rain, who was shaking her. After realising what had just happened, the ridgeback gasped. One of the descendants of the Viceroy, the perfect Imperial lineage... the Aether corrupted her. Crimson Rain worried more about how would her family react, but deep inside, she wondered how would it feel to be the first creation of their God. Crimson Rain gave the Aether a hand, and she guided her to meet her family. No one recognised her at first, but her voice remained the same.
"What happened to her? Oh, Kintsugi will be LIVID about this." Ludociel, who received them into the temple, smirked. Anything that would annoy her niece and her family would satisfy her. But as the crowd gathered around the Aether and the Ridgeback, Luminor and Kintsugi were alerted. They witnessed the new aspect of Fen Lin, and Kintsugi looked away, speechless... as usual. But Luminor and Merle said, almost at unison, "You are so beautiful. Let there a new lineage begin."
