-songbadge_7.png 		The funny thing is, he turned up in Wanderin years before veilspuns revealed themselves to be a thing. The residents named him Possum because they thought he was a possum. He never flies! He's really good at fluffing his hair over his wings for a bulkier silhouette apparently, it looks like fur!

(No, faes and spirals never noticed either even though they're of a size to do so because they're dragons, they fly! Ground travel in a mixed-species lair is asking to get stepped on! And while some of them would have liked to get close, the possum would scurry to some defensible cover and then defend by screaming. Small sounds are magnified to small ears thanks! Especially when inflicted within eardrum-piercing range.)
His job is screaming. It had been a joke to call it a job because it was just what the possum did, tuck himself into some unassailable hidey-hole near wherever trouble was happening and then scream until someone came along to deal with it. The possum somehow had a knack for sniffing across trouble, no matter the shape or form, from gas leaks from the swamprats' cauldron to domestic spats to rats in the pantry. songbadge_4.png
Then the greater veilspun population went and revealed they existed, and individual veilspun went visiting his territory and suddenly dragons who'd been perfectly content to let him be a tiny feral goblin started fussing about self-presentation and welcome and courtesy and now he's supposed to be clean and neat and act civilized.

So fine, he'll be a tidy and well-dressed feral goblin. Whose job is still screaming, never mind whether they thought they were joking, they will pry that out of his grasping biting undisinfected hands! And he's keeping the name too.

Gratifyingly, no one argued about his job, that has always been his job, staying his job. They just tried to start arguing about things like real pay and benefits and not eating trash until Possum screamed them into agreeing that his pay is stealing whatever food scraps he chooses out of any trash in the lair he chooses (just like it already was).
He's nursing a bit of a grudge against the rest of his race honestly. He had everything perfectly set up here, his web spread over the entire lair's inhabitants, their every move the pluck of a finely tuned string in his receptors that made every discordant note easy to pinpoint and arrange to get resolved. A grand symphony he can interpret flawlessly despite the ever-increasing complexity of every new addition's changes to the melody. And then along came his damn kind who can pluck the strings themselves! They're ruining everything! This is a one conductor orchestra and he was here first!

Tulil keeps inviting him to the Wanderin veilspun socials anyway. He doesn't go, he just turns up anyway to steal some of the food and sometimes scream to disrupt them. 		___
