An outsider looking for sanctuary from his home flight, finding himself more enamored with light rather than shadow. Sadly he found no place for him in those glimmering lands, no matter how much he searched and how patiently he waited.
Finally, after wandering for many years, lost in solitude, Ozi found himself at the Sanctuary. He found respite among other outcasts from his prior flight who knew the gloom he tried to put behind him.
Ozi's remarkable beauty was itself almost supernatural, and he found himself a target for the affections of several different dragons, whose advances he sometimes accepted, sometimes rejected; never growing too terribly close to any.

That is, except one. He quickly grew enamored by an outcast of the wind flight; an elegant dragon who largely kept to himself and to his function as general field medic and resident scholar of the arcane arts. Audemus demonstrated an almost supernatural intelligence and level of cunning as well as an almost supernatural aversion to social interaction. It was tricky to get the Skydancer's attention, but perhaps not quite as tricky as Ozi had at first estimated. It wasn't long before the two were in a non-committed relationship and had accidentally sired their first clutch of children.

When the children were but infants disaster struck and two of them—near-identical twins Lexa and Luca—vanished into the desert. The entire tribe banded together to try and find the lost children, to no avail.
Audemus and Ozi handled the grief in their own ways. Ozi tried to devote himself to his remaining daughter (who had decidedly named herself 'Melon', unhappy with the more masculine name she had originally been given) but struggled against his own aversion to reminders of his grief. Audemus detached, devoted himself to getting into Az'Zhubin's good graces, establishing a safer and more organized order to the tribe's absolutist governance. They took time apart to nurse their aching hearts.

Despite the fact that they're still working through their grief, their hearts know their partner. It is no doubt time will bring the two together once again.
