Minya watches the primary entrance of the lair, mainly in times of trouble. Unlike all the secondary tunnels, the excavated burrow's largest access door isn't well hidden. While the inhospitable lands surrounding the refuge are usually defense enough, it is vital to keep someone posted at the very beginning of the passageway, to warn of any suspicious Beastclan agitation.
In case of an imminent skirmish, the sentry rings an alarm system ingeniously wired by the Clan's engineer and retreats back into the main shaft, luring the enemy in a series of deadly, cleverly concealed traps along the way. All the able fighters of the Clan then rush to help scatter any surviving troops.
In times of peace, Minya disarms these traps and guides friendly dragons to the main chamber of the lair. The alarm also doubles as a doorbell.

Due to the limitations of her auditory system, the armored Coatl has been given a feline friend to alert her of any threat she cannot see. His name is Fluffles, and he is great company.
