THE INCOMPETENCE 
Current Leader(s): Patience and Crimson Aligned Flight(s): All who wish to join Summary: The Incompetence is a clan within the Scarred Wastelands founded and watched over by an arrogant fae named Patience. It resides along the plagueland's shoreline where a dip between the land and sea forms a sort of gorge; shoddily dug out caves line the inside of it, with one large "main hall" sitting in the center. The clan was brought together under a shared belief that everyone here is unfit to survive, and would all die by morning. When this did not happen, and dragons went on to live, a small sense of pride began to unify them; they survived despite their weaknesses, and that makes them Really Epic. Things get really crazy over time, with tons of family drama, divorce, disappearances, and of course some undead, but outside of that I'd say they're pretty normal. |
THE LOYALTY

Aligned Flight(s): Plague Summary: The Loyalty is a large, solely plague-based clan that has dug its way underneath the Rotrock Rim and managed to find a livable space underneath the Wyrmwound. Is this incredibly dangerous? Yes. Do they care? Not particularly. They believe in nothing but undying adoration and respect towards the Plaguebringer, and that any and everything must be done to appease her at all times, no matter the cost. Though their methods in doing so were once rather tame, they've grown cruel over decades of practice, resorting to forms of murder and torture to "make their Mother proud." Reasoning with them is not advised. They will kill any dragon they find that is of a flight other than Plague. |

WANDERING THREADS 
Current Leader(s): Nootka Aligned Flight(s): All who wish to join The Wandering Threads is a traveling group of Veilspun that picks up members from all over Sornieth. They're a very peaceful clan, believing in a sort of "go with the flow" type of ideology, but are quite formidable when they swarm together. Should the lot of them decide they really do not like you, for whatever reason, they can and will band together like a swarm of angry bees to take you down. This rarely ever happens, though. They're a pretty friendly bunch, though can be awkward around dragons who are not veilspun. |
SHADOWS OF DOUBT 
Current Leader(s): Penumbra and Gloom Aligned Flight(s): Primarily Shadow, but all flights are welcome The Shadows of Doubt is a band of thieves! The founders, Penumbra and Gloom, were two guardians who struggled for ages to find their charges. After some time, they decided that "the possessions of others" sounded like a good enough charge - and so they started stealing whatever they could get their claws on. They recruit anyone who shows interest in their cause (which just boils down to "steal stuff, hoard things, keep it here forever and ever") and this had led to a large number of them being a lot of crafty little fae. The Shadows' hideout is located within the Foxfire Brambles, just between the shadow and plague territories. This leads to a lot of offspring turning out plague-inborn despite being right on the shadow border, but the clan is largely unbothered by this, so who cares!! Things quickly go awry for the group as Penumbra's obsession with the stolen goods goes... a bit further than anyone had expected it to. |

ACOLYTES OF THE ARCANIST 
Current Leader(s): Kasdeyalyn Aligned Flight(s): Primarily Arcane This group is currently unnamed. "Starful Science" is just a sort of placeholder for the general plotline that's going on here, lmao. But anyway! This is a small group of dragons hidden away within the darkest reaches of the Starwood Strand, all led here by their own ambitions for wisdom or power. Getting lost in the Strand sure is a dangerous thing, as any dragon is sure to realize once they meet Kas. Kasdeyalyn, the leader of the group, presents herself as a sort of mad-scientist-prophet, claiming she acts only in respect to the Arcanist and wishes to push his dreams further. To reach and control the Heavens, to twirl the stars around in their claws... what a wonderful thing, wouldn't you agree? This leads to her performing many "experiments" on any dragon who wanders too close (and doesn't outright agree to help in her efforts), while having a, uh... special interest in dragons with starry patterns of any kind. Other members of this group are also scientists - either believing in Kas's goals or pursuing their own while being her accomplice. Kas has an obvious favoritism towards Arcane dragons, but others, if they really wish to help out, might just be allowed to do so... depending on Kas's mood. |
