Biography

Gloom
He/Him | Leader
Mate: N/A

When Penumbra and her brother Gloom left their clan to find their charges together, the two ended up rather frustrated when they couldn't find it right away. They are very impatient dragons, you see. The whole "wandering tirelessly until you find your charge" idea didn't quite sit with them. They wanted it right away.

But they couldn't find anything, and them being without a charge led to judgement from other Guardians... something the siblings were not too fond of. Judgement sparked snap-backs, which resulted in a lot of skirmishes. Nobody was in a good mood here.

Then, after one bad run-in with a certain Guardian, Penumbra got an idea. She suggested to Gloom that they steal this other guardian's charge and claim it as their own.
And so, they did. They stole it, ran off, and hid themselves away in their hearth within the Foxfire Brambles in large cavern, stashing away whatever object that was because I haven't decided yet.

Then they both stared at it for a little while, looked to each other, and came to a sort of mutual revelation.
They didn't feel any ""spark"" for this object.
But they did feel absolutely great while stealing it.

So began their life of crime. And their gradual recruitment of other dragons interested in their... "Cause"? Their "culture"? I have no idea, but still. They got others to help them over time.
And they were living their best lives... for a while.

---

Over time, Penumbra's obsession with the stolen goods they'd collected grew into something more. Something worse. Something that consumed her, figuratively and literally.
Gloom was horrified by this, attempting to put an end to the Shadows of Doubt before it was too late. This led to an outrage from Penumbra, and Gloom paid dearly for his attempt - in that he nearly got mauled for it.

He doesn't add much to the thieving anymore. He watches as his sister falls into someplace unreachable, and is nothing but distraught as it's far too late to pull her back now.
