Dr. Jack Bright's eccentric and often chaotic actions have often been described as "problematic", "unethical" and sometimes even "illegal". Dr. Bright would beg to differ, but of course he would. While he has proven himself to the SCP Foundation as a loyal, hard working and highly competent researcher and site director, he has also time and time again proven himself to be a complete and utter menace to the O5 Council and his co-workers.

Much of Bright's recklessness stems from the fact that he is functionally immortal. An accident condemned him to live the rest of his life- so far- as a consciousness confined to a cursed amulet that destroys the consciousness of any living thing that comes into physical contact with it, and replaces it with that of Dr. Bright. When death is cheap, it's easy to stop caring about the consequences of your actions after all.
TRIVIA
  • There is a running and ever-updating list of things Bright isn't allowed to do around the Foundation.
  • He seems to be the living embodiment of the saying "Today I will cause problems on purpose."
  • If given a choice between violence or just leaving things be, Bright will always choose violence.
  • His favorite target for chaos is the long-suffering Clef, who he works closely with.
