"I had this nightmare you woke up one morning and changed your mind. But my love is blind."
Edre is a quiet dragon that has a special affinity with foxes. At one point, they were born as a series of stars, a constellation that stretched across a small corner of the night sky. When staring down at the land one night, they saw a fox, gnawing on luminescent mushrooms. Every night, they watched this fox. They watched it store away all kinds of different mushrooms, some glowing faintly, others shimmering with a bright neon phosphorescence. They watched the fox for years. Somehow, the fox seemed aware of their presence. They began to leave gifts targeted towards Edre. It was impossible to say how they knew that they were the recipient, but they did know. And slowly, but surely, they began to fall in love. But the nights were cruel, and the days were bright and blinding.

It was a cold, starless night when in the pitch black, Edre woke and found their world tilting. Slowly they lifted their head to gaze up into keen eyes. Instinctively, they knew that although they had only ever seen them from light years away, the beautiful blue dragon was the same fox that they had fallen in love with. Over eternity they would be able to get to know each other from then on.
