Biography

Lore/Backstory - first draft (10/26/22)

Gaoler society didn't quite ever fit Kiko. Kiko held a love for things that many Gaolers did not. He enjoyed collecting things, he enjoyed caring for things that weren't of order or maintaining the keeps for the Shades and other races alien to the world. Kiko didn't mind being seen as a child or having no respect from others of his species. He had a plan, and he was already set in his ways, leaving his family to find his place somewhere else.

Many days and many nights of travel and collecting things along the way, placing black roses and black petaled flowers into his hair and fur, finding the dark contrasted petals fascinating compared to their brighter relatives. Of course, Kiko loved the vibrancy of other flowers, too, enjoying the new scents and smells as he journeyed and tried to keep himself alive. It took some time before he met Tornlinn as the Pearlcatcher was catching fish in a stream. Tornlinn was more than welcoming to the massive and ancient dragon, inviting him to come and stay with his family for the time being.

Kiko now spends his time making flowercrowns and collecting anything he can when it comes to items and treasure, carving out a room for himself in the hillside that Ardian had first made his den in the first place. Everyone enjoys Kiko's company, for the normally stoic race of dragon that he is, he's quite enjoyable to be around and he loves to share his love of flowers with everyone. He has started helping Ardian with the upkeep of the flowers that line the lair.

When he met Nyx, Kiko couldn't help but to find her dark colours beautifully stunning. He had done everything in his power to win her over, and he had done so in the end! But she still has her duties to do in the Gaoler society, one Kiko isn't a part of but loves to listen to Nyx's stories about her travels and what she had imprisoned when she had left the lair. The two love each other dearly, for Kiko is near Nyx's light in her dark world. She loves how strange he is for a Gaoler, although a bit childish she thinks.
