While most other Dragons in the Clan are content letting Aururan run amok without much oversight, Astra is not one for pranks. Taking the Spiral under her wings, Astra has taken it upon herself to get Aururan under control.

Aururan and Kaon were brought into the clan as Hatchlings at the same time, and grew up together. Ever since they could fly on their own, they’ve been playing tricks on members of the clan together.

Born in a Lightning Clan near The Source, Aururan was taken in by the Lumenstar Clan as a Hatchling. Upon his arrival to the Daylight Sanctum, where the Lair was located at the time, it was noticed that he suffered some symptoms of a slight fever, while his fellow Hatchling Kaon was afflicted by a week-long coma. While they both made a full recovery, this incident sparked the Clan to dedicate themselves to researching this phenomenon, dubbed Elemental Dissonance Syndrome.

Now grown, Aururan spends his time laughing with (and at) his fellow Clanmates. As both a Lightning Dragon and a Spiral, his reckless, almost hedonistic tendencies are fused with the Stormcatcher’s inventiveness. This explosive combination has caused more than a fair share of incidents within the Lumenstar Lair.

Lightning Dragons, The Stormcatcher chief among them, are known for their ambition and intuitiveness. Aururan reflects this in his more creative pranks. For example, there is a recorded instance of Aururan making undetectable alterations to the glass in Astra’s spectacles, causing her to miswrite a construction order, resulting in the restrooms being sealed off by a wall of marble. His methods of doing this are, to this day, unknown.

Aururan lives a simple life, joking with his friends whenever he can, but can be serious if he has a job to do, if only for a while. He works directly under Astra in The Expeditionary Branch, taking a vested interest in Elemental Dissonance Syndrome after his son Galvatron suffered a terrible form of it as a Hatchling. Despite this unfortunate incident, Aururan does not let life get him down, always looking on the brighter, funnier side of things.

While Lumenstar, as a whole, may have gotten used to Aururan as an essential fixture of their massive family, other Dragons do not tend to take so kindly to his sense of humor. Aururan has been described as “a nuisance”, “powerfully annoying”, and “childish” by many.
