 Drow's parents were Shadow and Binder, both Shadow Veils and both of the subspecies that call themselves Shadowbinders. They were supposed to be named "Shadow" themselves, but for a couple of different reasons, Drow refused to go by that name. Drow is genderfluid and prefers they/them pronouns, for one thing. For another, Drow doesn't want to always be associated with the Shadowbinders (though they always bring it up in conversation, anyway). Drow wants to be perceived as an individual!

Drow believes that the Veilspun are discriminated against in general, and wants to prove to the rest of Sornieth that they deserve equal rights, and that it is insulting to the Veil to draw attention to their small stature or their Ancient status.

Anyway, needless to say, Drow is not overly popular in the clan.

shadowbinders.png Shadowbinders were an accident that the deity tried to hide when she attempted making copies of herself to spread her influence. The tiny dragons that resulted were embarassing for her. Over time though, their adoration has warmed a place into her heart and she now loves them very much. She doesn't know why they keep naming the males "Shadow" and the females "Binder" though.
