Glassheart is a quiet, apprehensive young Imperial. He was once a prince, son of the King's brother, and far enough down the line that no one expected he would ever be king, then Phthalo's clan attacked, took Glass clan's land, drove them away, and killed or captured every member of the royal family aside from Glassheart, his mother Silverstep, and the King's mate, Rosewater. Being the only dragon left in line, Glassheart was crowned King with a tangle of copper wire, one of the few treasures his clan still possessed.

Glassheart never expected this sort of responsibility, he was never prepared to be a king, let alone a king of a clan exiled from their former home. He wants to be like his uncle Frost, calm and confident, with a solution to every problem, and an answer to every question. Glassheart relies heavily on the advice of his clanmates, and involves them in his decision making.

Glassheart was made mates with Rosewater. Although she used to be Frost's mate, she's the only Imperial left in Glass clan, and thus the only option for a mate Glassheart has. They keep attempting to have heirs, But the dragonets have all died in their eggs, supposedly because of the lack of sunshine in the Hewn City, but Glassheart has reasons to believe their deaths were a result of somthing far more sinister...
