Kobold is a spirit who haunts the clan.

Few can sense Kobold’s presence and even fewer can see them. Currently only two creatures that they know of have been able to see Kobold; Pythi and Antigone. They prefer it this way, for though they long to interact with the clan, they are well aware of their terrifying appearance, and their unsettling ghostly state.

Pythi is the only dragon that can see them, and they've become really good friends. Kobold has some otherworldly knowledge, and they are able to use that knowledge to see where the future will lead. Pythi will often ask them for guidance when his visions aren't working. Kobold is happy to help, though in return they do ask that Pythi keep other clan members from wandering into Kobold's space in the lair.

Kobold's insecurities often rear their ugly head in the form of Kobold worrying if the only reason Pythi speaks to them is because of their knowledge. No amount of reassurance from Antigone can help this, and they are too scared to ask Pythi, fearing both his reaction to the question and his potential answer.

Kobold is easily offended, even by those who are unaware of their existence, and they will often show their anger by playing mean-spirited pranks on the source of their ire. Despite this, they would never intentionally cause a clan member serious harm. They are often helpful, in fact, secretly assisting the clan in many day to day things, and even stopping some of Banefall's more cruel jokes.

They keep a journal, in which they have been recording the day to day life of the clan.

origins.

Kobold's origins are a mystery even to themselves. They just woke up in the underground ruins that would one day serve as the inspiration for the Groundhaven Clan's underground life.

Antigone was already with them, and she seemed saddened by their lack of memory. Regardless, she stuck with them as they explored their home, and eventually, as they began to feel that their new home was more a prison, after discovering that they couldn't wander too far from the ruins.

They began to keep a journal during this time, something to stave off the boredom and loneliness that came with only having one other creature to keep them company. Their journal was mostly used to record interesting things that they discovered in the ruins. Even that eventually brought them little joy, as they'd combed over just about every area that they could reach.

Then Ira arrived and founded the clan. Kobold became very attached to the fledgling clan, very quickly. Though disappointed that nobody could see them, they were extremely excited and relieved to finally have other dragons within the limited range that they could wander.

Even if they cannot be considered officially clan, Kobold would do anything to try to protect it.

They don't ever want to be lonely again.

A mysterious unicorn often seen wandering through the tunnels around Groundhaven. She is often accompanied by Kobold, and she has been looking out for them ever since they first woke up.

Very little is known about her past. She lost her magic trying to save somebody that she cared about deeply from death. She refuses to reveal whether or not she was successful, although that could be because she herself is unsure.
