☾ Afano is a spirit of the last moments of sunset and the ending of things.
☾ Some dragons interpret this as including death, but Afano himself sees death only as a very small portion of what he represents.
☾ He is quiet and compassionate, he sits with the grieving and offers advice to those experiencing transition in life.
☾ Although he tries not to be intrusive, he is drawn to endings and many see him as a bad omen.
☾ He can almost always be found on the east-facing cliffs of the city in the evening, watching the sunset before he disappears back into the city.

☾ Afano was hatched into a small clan in the Crystalspine Reaches, to loving parents.
☾ When he was still adolescent however, his mother died and his father withdrew from him completely, kicking him out as soon as he was old enough to take care of himself. Afano tried repeatedly to reconcile with his father but never succeeded.
☾ During the trade conflicts between Arcane and Lightning, Afano's clan was one that was brought to destitution and eventually it disbanded, even though Afano tried to bring dragons together and save his clan.
☾ When that failed, Afano came to Kairos City, shortly before the beginning of the Revolution, when it came, he accepted the end of the age of nobility.
☾ During the final fight of the Revolution, Afano was mortally wounded and found himself alone and dying in the last rays of sun on the last day of the Revolution. He accepted this and chose to stay to guide others through the endings they would experience in life.
