Biography
๐ข๐๐๐๐๐ถ๐๐พ๐๐ ๐ผ๐ผ
As an egg, Circe was sent to Waterdeep to hatch at the Academy, to be raised by the mages. It couldโve been a wonderful upbringing and no doubt she wouldโve been a talented pupil. However, something went wrong with the delivery and instead her egg was lost in transit; Circe hatched on the streets. She grew up with a few other orphans, and either spent her time begging, borrowing or stealing. Outright thievery was never satisfying for her though, and instead she turned to street performing. A little slight of hand there, a little flick of the wrist here. Circe became pretty good at playing to crowds, and taking their coins.
Ever the performer, Circe looked to make her modest act more impressive by teaching herself the art of conjuration and illusion magic. It was jerky at first; she could make a bird form from nothing more than feathersโฆ but the bird would not always be alive. However with dedication she managed to develop a skill and was soon conjuring frogs, birds and plants out of seemingly nothing.
In more recent times Circe has taken a step back from the street performing and instead opened her own collection of curios from around Sorneith. The legitimacy of all of her curiosities could well be a point of contention, however Circe swears all of them are as authentic as they come. A dragon can find everything lining the slightly dusty shelves; from tokens of the Beastclans to sacred artifacts bestowed by the Sorneith Gods. In their own glass display are numerous trinkets said to be Blessed by Suzaku and Elistraee. Her most valued possessions however are the curiosities said to hold curses, including multiple items said to be shade-touched and a scale she claims is from Amunrahx. Most of her collection she has won by cheating street games, and outwitting other dergs in gambling matches. All of it is for sale, for a price of course.
