Biography

Ondine is a wonderful Undertide who helped the clan in quite a pinch. Thanks to her unique light power she was able to help protect the clan. The power in Ondine is so strong that Ondine is able to light up the darkest and densest of forests for miles. She even uses this power for her work as an underwater photographer and works with Luna and Electrum for the Nature's Glow. Her power is quite unique as it isn't just radiating light but also letting it radiate off whatever she touches. The dust particles or flower petals all begin to glow a radiant light once Ondine touches them which can help her when she goes to take photos underwater or at night.

Though Ondine can breathe outside of water like all Undertides, she never wants to leave the water. Not necessarily because she loves it but mostly because she is pretty shy. Ondine is a very timid dragon and often won't leave the water without Finely or her closest friends. This was due to her trauma from being stuck in a n underwater cave for several weeks when her mate Finely was also injured. In their weakened state they were unable to move the boulders blocking the cave and Ondine didn't have the strength to use her powers so she was left in the dark with her unconscious mate. The trauma due to this also leaves Ondine with a terrible fear of the dark and confined spaces. Finely does his best to keep Ondine calm when she has panic attacks in the dark and as such tries to stay with her as much as possible. Ondine doesn't leave the water since she is afraid of ending up stuck in the trees somewhere. Finely isn't the only one who helps Ondine though, so do the other NotN dragons that saved her. One of these dragons is Shelley, a water dragon who was the one who found Ondine in the first place.

The dragons who helped her life all decided to make her a home for her and Finely (and of course Lavender wanted the dragon responsible for saving the clan to be well taken care of) that was nice enough to accommodate all of Ondine's needs. Shelley also stops by as well as the others to bring Ondine food and keep her company. Luna and Electrum also meets up with her with them and Ondine to share the articles ahead of time and show off Ondine's amazing work. Ondine although extremely shy opens up around her friends who she considers family. She thanks them for all their help in giving her a place to stay. Theo makes sure no Trickster will ever bother her, even Bahgera gives her the greatest respects. Noble often patrols her parts of the clan and keeps an eye on Ondine when she is resting up. Tesla and Desmond also keep the place well light up for Ondine at night.

Ondine lives in the waters by Flamebloom and Waterwing's place and the two couldn't love the company anymore. Flamebloom and Waterwing worked right away on making the beach side much more lovely by adding strings of glass bottles of all sorts of colors and Waterwing called in a few favors to bring many wonderful aquatic plants to fill the bay where they swim. Though the dragons in the Lodgers guild were quite proud to show off Ondine and Finely's water systems that lead to their aquatic house. The house is sheltered from above by many thick-leaved plants and planks with gaps between so a dragon who might fall into the water wouldn't crush the two sleeping below. Though the gaps are to help with Ondine's phobia there is still enough privacy for herself. Though their favorite part was the underwater lighting system to keep the waterways well lit and since the lights run on the moving water in the rivers, they will only go out if Ondine wants them too.

Ondine also likes to decorate the tunnels and waterways with beautiful glass art made from Flamebloom or shells that Shelley and Waterwing collect. Though Ondine never really is alone even when she is on her job. Her Deeprealm Hunter keeps her company and often scares away any dragons who don't notice Ondine swimming in the water. Though it does also provide Ondine with several catches of the day which she gladly enjoys.
