Biography

Clan Solar Cell has widened its territory a lot since when it first started and as such covers a large area of land set aside for them by the Gladekeeper. Much of this land interconnects the other owned territories by traveling roads maintained by the clan's Groundskeepers. Also, due to such an expansive area, many of the dragons in the clan reside over a large area and as such are relatively far apart. This allows for several communities and buildings to form as well as a few clans intermingling near waterways as well as Gladebough village. Though not as overlapped as the Everbloom Gardens or the Gladeveins, the Gladebough Village still has its share of intermingled clans. Clan Solar Cell lives amongst the lower base of the Behemoth for those in the tree district and extends out toward the open land next to the Shrieking wilds. It is the lands near the waters and rivers leading to the Gladeveins that Esme represents.

As a representative, Esme often sets up meeting with the residents within the area like Jingle and Jangle, Helena and Marina, and report back to where the majority of the clan lives about what improvements or need to be done or changes have occurred. These include improvements like new buildings to be made, any repairs needed, requests for the Groundskeeping guilds like Festive Flowers to clean up or decorate, and other lifestyle improvements like water systems for dragons' lairs (there are many watering systems near the rivers and as such is why the Tavern is very close to this area but further into the woods). For changes reported these usually are things like changing weather causing things like flooding of the banks (this is usually when the Lodgers come to fix bridges that might get swept away or weathered or make sure floating houses (floatable flooring) is secured for dragon lairs that are specialized (as in the individual dragon makes their own lair and not one made by the Lodgers - is rare but includes houses like Marina's who read her bio to avoid spoilers but also Jingle and Jangles who have their own home build from several dead trees and branches that died naturally like during storms)) requests for patrols due to increased monsters or enemies in the area. Esme reports all these things back to Naomi who then talks with the guild leaders and files the requests on the main clan's board (of things to get done . . . essentially).

Esme also gets to meet with her other Obelisk friends, Helena and Ammonite who all work together to make a priority list of what across all parts of the clan needs to be work on first. Of course, if high priority stuff gets done first but takes a long time to do allowing for more high priority actions to be requested then low priority stuff would never be done. So, to allow dragons to still be able to have their requests put through, Esme and the council of Obelisks all make sure that low priority actions still have a deadline that is reasonable so that about every month (if many high priority things are around (this usually picks up during severe weathered changes or Trickster/enemy attacks-summer months seem to be when most low priority actions get done with seemingly no high priority)) at least two to five low priority things get finished on top of the high priority items.

One reason why Obelisks were chosen to be the representatives for the clan's major areas is that they are loud. Astonishingly loud. In fact, whenever Esme meets with the residents, she can always get them to quiet down with her beautiful yet loud voice- even without the help of the megaphone. This also lets her shout out her town meeting announcements just by yelling out while walking down the main paths (so loud you'd wake up if you were sleeping too).

Having bright eyes also means Esme has a strong ice aura. As such, Esme has great control over ice but does get quite exhausted since the hotter Viridian Labyrinth can only ever get snow during the coldest of days in the winter (mostly just Night of the Nocturne before warming up by the latest of the Crystaline Gala). However, thanks to her strong ice aura she emits a very cold aura around herself that can freezes into beautiful spirals around her. Though she often just stays cold she by doing much of her work from the comfort of the cool waters by the banks. She will even invite her mate, Benji, when he gets a break to join her for a nice swim to cool off (also lets her maintain that voluminous mane). Esme can also use her powers to help cool other dragons down in the hotter months as well as cause things like water to freeze over which can be helpful for walking across waterways (don't worry as Esme can also absorb this ice back-that's right the ice emblems on her body represent how much ice she has left to control). As such, touching the snowflakes on her body is like touching an ice pack and often stays very cold. When Esme freezes something snowflakes can be seen to disappear until she either calls them back or their magic fades until she recharges. Often one can tell if Esme is feeling sick or exhausted by the lack of snowflakes on her body or if her body is hot to the touch rather than its normal cold. Unfortunately, being so in tune with ice, Esme finds herself heavily exhausted in the summer months when she often ends up scheduling meetings inside (don't worry it's still nice out any other month) though dragons actually don't mind this as her presence is the equivalent of an air conditioner. Very relaxing. A win-win for both sides.

Esme shares a lair with Benji her mate rather than like the new breeds having a shared lair for all of the breed-though Esme still meets with her Obelisk friends weekly. Often, Benji brings her some of her favorite pumpkinseed sunfish that he'll trade a Kelp Keeper for on his way home after town meetings as a sort of good job. That and Benji is a romantic. They often spend time reading stories or going over some of the ridiculous requests usually made by Tricksters and bounce ideas off him for which ones seem most important. In return, Esme also helps Benji by letting him know any rumors going around the clan as they pertain to his job (click the right arrow key to see). They then end the day curled up in their statue forms surrounded by soft items (you don't want yourself getting scuffed up) together to conserve energy. Benji knows that if Esme was ever extremely tired or sick that he would find her in her statue form and would help cool her down. Benji also doesn't mind curling up next to Esme as her statue form isn't as cold as when she is awake though cold enough to be comfortable on hot nights.

Esme's house is in a tree hut with a small pond (similar to many houses in this area) where her familiar lives. Her orbiting spirit often guards small shells and treasures she places in the pond to make it look pretty and will often jump over the stony bridge at visitors to greet them. This little fish will also let Esme know if anyone is visiting by launching her decorative pebbles at a pail that when weighed down rings the doorbell (notably it only takes one or two to ring it). It also doesn't mind if Esme freezes the pond, whether on accident or not as it isn't actually alive, just acts like it.
