THE THIRTY-SEVENTH
Caoimhe (kwee-va) - Beauty, gentleness
The statue sits atop a pedestal positively flourishing with life…
The guardian is seated at the top of the pedestal, with her limbs tucked neatly beneath her tail, beautifully curled around herself. Her head is ducked down, as if bowing deeply, and her eyes are closed. She’s smiling.
The statue, remarkably, seems to give rise to life itself. Sprouts of plants bloom from the carved nooks of the statue’s mane, seemingly from nowhere. Vines, stems, leaves emerge from the tail, and stone arm fur. Moss grows upon the Weaver’s Eyes covering her hide, some blossoming into flowers. And, before her, a cub, carved of rough emerald plays amongst the greenery. . . The sunlight, beaming through her outspread amber glass wings, surely treats this life to the light it needs.
And, when brought to the Tangled Wood, it was proven to be so. Even when greeted with the darkness of the canopy overhead, the guardian’s wings continued to emit the Lightweaver’s sun, as if nothing had changed. . .
The foliage about the statue, native to the Sunbeam Ruins, did not die off. The hallowed ivy, the clover and moss, it all remains, and flourishes all the same. . ! In addition, the light from the statue does not disturb the sensitive plants of the Wood around her. Dark creeper ivy still grows on the trees. Umbra Parthenium still flourishes on the ground. . . Truly, what a remarkable gift. . .
When one stands before this statue, they are embraced with the warmth of the Sunbeam Ruins, wherever they may be. . .
If you would no longer like your guardian, please consider returning them to me (161427), or consider finding a new home for them yourself.
