Due to the recent addition of a hot spa and a electricity-generating water wheel, Bronte's been promoted from general fixer-upper to the clan's chief engineer who will keep the Manor held together with spit and duct tape if she has to. Her jobs range from fixing a leaky water pipe, to reinforcing Emilio's spontaneous aquariums, to building robotic toys for the hatchlings. Bronte also supervises the trading of anything mechanical, in case the clan receives a shipment of inferior workmanship (which she'll have to fix constantly).

The aspect of her personality that Bronte is most proud of is her ability to be perfectly objective at any time, in any situation. She never allows her emotions to cloud her judgement, and is capable of passing unbiased opinions on a wide range of topics, ranging from abstract theories to highly personal affairs. Additionally, Bronte is open-minded and reliable, and readily accepts both encouragement and criticisms that increase her productivity. She may not be as loud as her fellow forge dwellers, but she makes up for it with her ridiculously fast speech and awe-inspiring and jargon-rich vocabulary.

As a hatchling, Bronte couldn't get a good night's sleep unless a thunderstorm was raging in the skies above. A lack of pounding rain and roaring thunder meant the dangerous stagnation of the mind in the Shifting Expanse, or even worse: a drought. This didn't change when Bronte matured and moved to the Manor, and she still feels uneasy in the moments when everything is dead silent. Thankfully in a clan this size, silence that lasts longer than a few milliseconds can only be found in the Library, which Bronte avoids like the plague - Raymond was very offended.

From the shouting matches that regularly emit from the basement forge, one might assume the forge masters all hate each other's guts. That couldn't be further from the truth, however - Bronte is used to a loud work environment, Caspar has no time for niceties, and Jordan just likes screaming. Bronte moved into the forge as soon as Caspar completed it, and has thought of both it and him as home for as long as she'd been a clan member. Bronte is not as antisocial as Caspar is, preferring to collect as many acquaintances as possible - she is not above a bit of social manipulation to increase the Manor's cooperation and efficiency.
