Caspar lives and breathes his work, refining metals and hammering them into exquisite armour and sturdy tools as the clan's official blacksmith. His impressive collection of ornamental weaponry is dwarfed only by his proficiency with every single one of them, but not in battle - Caspar's of the opinion that once they leave his forge, weapons effectively cease to exist. Caspar also makes the weekly bonfire, pouring left-over molten metals and searing coal into an enormous open-air pit in the centre of the Manor. He and Orion maintain the flames together for hours, allowing Rajni to whisper out her fantastic epics.

As hotheaded as any Fire dragon and as impatient as your average Spiral, Caspar isn't the friendliest individual, even by the Manor's wildly fluctuating standards. He tolerates dragons who have a similar love of crafting, but he dislikes social functions and will straight out ignore any small-talk aimed his way. Despite his infamous temper, Caspar has plenty of fans in the clan, and those who have seen his dedication and care towards his creations always vouch for his reliability. He is very secretive with his metalworking techniques, and only (reluctantly) allows Bronte and Jordan to watch him work.

It took a while for Caspar to be convinced to move into the Manor due to its lack of a forge, but Al was adamant: no other metalworker would do. Caspar did eventually concede, on the strict condition that he be allowed an entire floor of the Manor to modify to his liking. Caspar spent weeks carefully designing the forge down to exacting detail, and single-handedly dragged each individual stone and brick down to the Manor's basement. It was very much a labour of love, however - the forge is his proudest accomplishment and he still refuses to leave it alone for more than a few hours.

The forge is as dear to Caspar as his own hatchlings, and he prefers to be shut in there for most of the day rather than socialise with the other dragons. He doesn't do well with large crowds, and often clams up during clan-wide meetings. Surprisingly, Caspar can be quite talkative in one-on-one situations, able to ramble for hours on end about weapons and metalworking and basically nothing else. Bronte is one of the few dragons who not only know what he's talking about but also can exceed his enthusiasm about engineering. Jordan shadows him everywhere, unashamedly demanding to know his trade secrets. Caspar doesn't mind, though - he secretly loves having someone to brag to.
