ooooA native of the Southern Icefield, Cinnafer had always been close to poisons during her youth, having frequently encountered the toxin-ingesting Maren that reside in the frigid waters in the scattered northern floes of the large territory. Seeing the effects of their concoctions on wildlife and dragons alike piqued her curiosity in the subject, and - undeterred by their fiercesome nature, she made it a goal to learn their trade secrets: where the poisons were from, exactly how early one needed to start drinking them to gain immunity, anything. Even when a clan mate happened to catch one of the beast clan members on a bad day, Cinnafer would observe them and take it as a learning experience. She would insist on helping, but her age and inexperience were cited so often as detrimental qualities, she reluctantly learned her place, and settled for twiddling her thumbs together at the front of the crowd whenever disaster struck.

____True as it was that she did not have much hands-on experience, this would soon prove to be false, but in the very worst way.

____Shrieking through the evergreen forests, a wildclaw ran blindly, pleading with anyone for help. His cries attracted the attention of nearby dragons, but they kept their distance for fear of attack. Wanting to prove her skills, Cinnafer followed the wailing and discovered the wildclaw within the dense brush. The thick, rusty orange foam spilling from his mouth told her immediately he was suffering from contact with a lethal dose of bonepriest venom.

____Half mad with the highly toxic venom’s effect, the wildclaw lunged at her in desperation, his mouth spasming out of control and catching Cinnafer’s wrist. His teeth tore through her fur and broke the skin, some of the highly volatile, tainted foam dripping directly into the open wound. She shook the wildclaw off and kicked him away, where he laid twitching on the ground, until his body went still. But Cinnafer had a whole new predicament on her hands: she was infected, the burn of the bonepriest venom already ascending up her arm. There was no time to even call for help.

____Knowing full well the fate she would meet if she didn’t act fast, Cinnafer did the only thing that would guarantee her a chance at life: she self amputated her arm before the venom could spread through her bloodstream.

____The pain was indescribable, stretching on for what felt like ages. But only minutes later, trying not to think too hard about what she had done, Cinnafer stumbled through the brush. She struggled through tunnel vision from the blood loss, trying to find her clan, devouring heaping bunches of broadleaf plantains to combat the venom along the way.

____At last, when familiar land greeted her, she passed out. When she came to, several days had passed, with the clan’s best healer tending to her mangled limb. The next couple of months were mostly spent healing, and getting used to mobility on three limbs. Her loss only motivated her to learn as much as she could about poison. But now she had a different branch she wanted to explore: remedies. Feeling like she had reached the height of her lessons in her home territory, Cinnafer departed the Southern Icefield, to the not so distant lands of the Starfall Isles. She was still weakened from her injury, and the territory was the closest to her old home. She figured arcane magic was a good place to start in her journey to understand her new subject.

____Not soon after, she passed into Clan Syncraci’s territory, where she decided to stay… just for a while. Time stretched on, and she found herself too attached to her clan mates to leave. But it was no matter, there was plenty to learn, and so much to explore. She got used to her arm with the help of specialized armor, designed and imbued with Arcane magic. She eventually met Lonu, and two now serve as Syncraci’s border patrol, with Cinnafer doubling as an expert on poisons, and of course, remedies.

____She was good friends with Anniki, Absii, and Kolfoem. Unbeknownst to Cinnafer at first, the three had strong ties with nearby Maren clans, granting Syncraci a long and stable alliance. Although the three have since departed, Anniki, being the last to move on, left everything she and her siblings had learned about Maren toxins to Cinnafer, a dragon she knew would appreciate the knowledge and put it to good use. Cinnafer is eternally grateful, and has thoroughly read through their notes more times than she can remember.

____All of the Plague dragons in the clan know of her, as Cinnafer was fascinated with them when she first arrived. Lonu is her partner in battle and in life, and she is grateful for his loyalty and understanding. Cinnafer also loves taking Jenactel out on patrol, the nocturne's eagerness to absorb everything reminding her of her own childhood. Cinnafer has recently struck up a friendship with Annin.
