Totem

Honey Merchant Totem works with bees. He drenched his wood armor in their honey so they can feed while he gets other excess honey to sell at the local market. Totem is a master at getting and selling honey so many people have suggested getting the best honey from him. His kids enjoy having honey on toast or honey in their oatmeal whenever they come over and stay for a few days. He enjoys having UnusAnnus coming over to spend time with him when he isn't able to go see her on such busy days. Totem will occasionally go see her in the library with a little jar of honey for all three of them to try and to catch up on things on days his stall has little to no dragon in sight of wanting honey. He'll help dust on those days too so he doesn't get too antsy with little to no business happening. Totem enjoys trying out new types of honey when he collects it from the bees he's either found in the wild, been given bees from others that were found in the wild or purchased from other bee keepers. The bees can produce different types of honey when having different kinds of pollen to have, he just enjoys combining the honey to get new honey.

Totem can and will protect his mate and their kids from being hurt while in Oceanside Port. He's taken up classes from the warriors in the arena to further keep his family safe and sound. He does try his best to let his kids explore the world and see what they do and don't like. He is a bit overbearing in that aspect but his family doesn't mind because they know he means well. Totem will give little jars to his kids before they leave so they can have something to remind them of him when they start feeling homesick. He always reminds them that they can come back and see him with open wings to hug and to love when they need it. Totem enjoys seeing their faces light up when they see him because his heart grows ever fuller with love. He'll do anything and everything for them and their mother. The same can be said about his friends. They love it when Totem does little things that reminds him of them. Things like getting a book one would always go back to look at but can never seem to find the right time to get or getting a small snack for when one doesn't have a stock of it in their personal little hoard. He'll do what he can to get the snacks or books or anything of the sorts while he's free from work or spending time with his family. He's got everyone's backs for that kind of stuff.

Totem doesn't mind that he gets either treasure or gems, or a combination of both, when he does get customers. Sometimes, he'll trade honey for a little bit of other materials for his side gig of a sewing shop. That way, not only the customer gets good quality honey, Totem gets good quality fabric/thread/sewing needles of sorts. His side gig helps him learn new patterns for what his own kids would prefer in clothing style. He does his best though he knows his sewing skills aren't perfect quite yet. Sometimes he'll make suspenders for various dragons, dresses for others, bows for the little ones. There's so many different colored bows he made that he gave to the little ones under Arzi's care when the parents are busy with other things and can't care for their children. He'll even make bows and give honey to the children who have wandered into the town and can't find their way back home. Totem has a touch with little kids because they always follow him around and clambering all over him when he visits the nursery. UnusAnnus thinks it's sweet of him to go play with the kids and give Arzi a little bit of time to recoup from having to care for the kids for 5 days or more. Totem just likes being able to help whenever, wherever and, sometimes, when asked. He's got support of many different kinds of dragons with how much he has helped them and what not.

Personality Totem is a caring, loving and a great guy. He's willing to give anything to protect his family and friends. He'll help with homework for those in school and struggling. Totem is loyal to his mate and his mate alone. He'll shut down any dragon trying to hit on him because he prefers not to have multiple mates. He'll be good to you if you are good to him, and vice versa. Totem enjoys the help of others when he can't do much of anything while sick or letting wounds heal. Above all, NEVER mess with his family and friends, even if playful, otherwise you'll have an angry bee keeper in your claws.

"I don't want to be lazy so I try to find something to do when I'm sick or healing from something or other. I don't know how any dragon can't be antsy when they're just resting from whatever they were doing. I guess you can call me a workaholic. Always trying to find ways to work while unable to do much of it, always trying to help others when I can't help myself much. I think that's why UnusAnnus decided that I'd be in the library when I do end up getting sick enough to not able to work or get a broken limb or some other wound. That way, I won't be as antsy. When I do rest up in the library, I usually work with my sewing projects. It helps clear my mind of the day and what I'm going through. I've made so many things while not working as a bee keeper. I love that I have support here too because it means they'll help when I ask them to and help them in return when I can. These dragons are full of love and I love it so much. Especially when I first met UnusAnnus. She helped me set up my place here and when my stall got set up for selling the honey. She always stops by on busy days just to see how I'm holding up. Her love language always fills me with joy. She checks up on me, brings me a specific book I've taking a liking to, bringing different kinds of teas or food for me to try.."

"I love her. She's sweet as honey, if not sweeter. Mine's more of touch but each to their own. Our kids are kinda like that in terms of their mates. Wherever they are, and whatever they're doing, I hope they're doing great. I love it when they come over to talk to us, even if UnusAnnus and I are a little busy with other things. I don't mind them wanting to come over and spend time with us though, it shows that they care. We did everything we could to bring them up well and teach them good. The kids play along with the little ones whenever they could and I'm so proud of them for wanting to do so as I know kids can have sticky claws and destructive with certain things. I don't mind giving my old toys to the Nursery when I can because they get used more there than having them collect dust. The kids in the Nursery sure do enjoy the toys I provided. I always see them playing when I go over to check up on Arzi and see if she needs help."
