Cynthia

Despite her cheerful looks, Cynthia is a melancholic drakaina. She is thoughtful and tends to get lost in her daydreams frequently. She has often tried various trades to make her own, yet she always found herself losing interest after a short while. Thankfully, this still gave her a way to make a living. Unlike some of the other dragons surrounding her, she does not own her own business or organize Clan-wide events, nor can she entertain masses of tourists single-handedly. Instead, she helps where she can, easing the burden of the dragons around her.

In the beginning, she helped out all over the Clan, but ended up running a little stressed. Visiting dragons to entertain and feed at the Carnival, rides to repair, dragons coming back from hunting that needed healing, going on gathering trips herself... there were too many locations and dragons to keep track of. Eventually, Cynthia decided to remain in the hodge-podge building that made up Dianthus' teashop - Inn, Garden, Laboratory and Observatory included.

Here, she tends mostly to the gardens, where she had met her mate Deku. Cynthia occasionally helps him with his bees, though he mostly gets by on his own. But the flowers they need require tending as well, and so she is mostly a gardener at this point. Occasionally, she flexes her mind helping out Devinee in the Teashop with inventory, or Amatoxe with what little alchemy she understands. She is often the delivery dragon for in-clan deliveries from the teashop, and takes pride in providing a simple service, despite often being overlooked because of it.

As she often delivers wax to the candlemaker Ven in the Carnival, she has become a friend of his, and is frequently invited to Auntie Viola's place to have tea or to see what new things one of their residents has come up with. Devinee is another dragon she considers a friend, though she is not quite sure if the Fae feels the same way. Devinee had been reclusive for as long as Cynthia had known her, but she is willing to let this friendship bloom more slowly than usual. The last notable dragon in her life is Ahyi, who is not only her boss, but used to be her denmate before she moved in with Deku. The Obelisk is like a big sister to her - both in age and size - and despite occasionally indulging in teasing each other like siblings, they can also manage to shift their relationship to something more professional when things need to get done.
