Klltxampay comes from a northern clan in the taiga regions of Pandora. He used to be an artist, a woodcarver, and chose a mate before he was officially accepted into the clan in his second-birth ceremony. Because of this, he and his mate were shunned. They left the clan while they were still both teenagers to try to fend for themselves or join another clan.

Unfortunately, they got lost, and found it harder and harder to survive. Eventually their hunger caused them to fight, and with his pregnant mate growing thinner and thinner, she decided to turn back. He doesn't know whether she made it back, or whether their child was born.

He continued on south until he collapsed, and was found by Tarep. Over time, he fell for her. A part of him remains bonded to his original mate, though, and he fights with himself over whether to venture north again now that he is a full warrior, to at least find closure, or if he should leave his past buried in the snow.
