Biography
Lamella, like many of her relatives, had been a victim of King Konungur's lust for the pearls of his descendants. Worse yet, the king had rejected the new hatchling's pearl and from that day onward had had no interest in any kind of relationship with her.
Things were not exactly better on her mother's side, with visits to the court of Queen Guinevere. The pressure to look beautiful, act with perfect manners, and be politically savvy enough to avoid the perils of court was exhausting. Luckily, her family only made visits to the court a few times a year and the rest of the year Lamella could focus on her interests, which included studying dragon anatomy and genetic mutations.
Her family's resources allowed Lamella's studies to continue for many years. She made connections with research labs, specialists, and academic circles. One one of her travels she met a dragon named Osseus who was part of an archeological dig. His primary interest lay with Beastclan bones, but his knowledge of dragon skeletons allowed them to carry on extensive conversations. Having found another dragon who shared their passion for bones, the two became a couple.
They nested together near one of the archeological digsites and hatched Marrow. Their daughter shared their interest in science and loved to accompany them on their research trips.

Generation 2
I am a Trapped Pearl! These dragons are secret royalty-- desendants of the petty tyrant Konungur and his queen-consort Holden. Their paths are ever at odds; Konungur seeks to have Pearlcatcher children to steal their pearls. He does this so that he can use them as pawns to expand his empire while retaining complete control. Holden, on the other hand, has every nest smuggled from the castle and replaced with dead eggs, buying their freedom at the cost of her own happiness.
