Mucus, along with being the common name for their collective body, is also the name of this Aberration's dominant head. It's no question to who has control over body in their case - Mucus as a whole is a larger than life personality. Loud, smooth-talking, and naturally able to garner the attention of everyone in the room. Mucus thrives on the art of shock-factor, passionately doing or saying unnerving things with the only purpose being to make others uncomfortable, like eating live spiders. Despite this, his impressive charisma and skill in conversation manages to keep a constant crowd about him. Most notably, Mucus refers to himself as one entity, often completely disregarding his second half, Phlegm. Phlegm himself hardly ever speaks, keeping his head ducked as Mucus keeps all attention on him. When he does speak, he's always met immediately by Mucus angrily snapping at him, threatening him back into silence. Mucus will then have a total change of face, back to ignoring Phlegm and talking to his comrades as if nothing had occurred.

Phlegm may appear as a spineless captive to Mucus' abrasive and frankly, abusive, treatment - but he hides a side of himself that few dragons in the Guild have seen. The only time that Phlegm can act autonomously is when his other half is asleep ... but it is not regular slumber Mucus is under when Phlegm travels about. Despite he and Mucus' position in the Field Division, Phlegm is drawn to the Research quarters of Emperor's Bane. There, he met Xylari, the head's assistant - and expressed his goal of finding a way to separate Aberrations into two individuals. Xylari reluctantly agreed to help him, and against her better judgement has been assisting Phlegm in research during Guild after-hours, along with supplying him with a tonic that puts Mucus into a deep sleep. Phlegm is bitter towards his other half and has a burning hatred for Mucus, vowing to one day get rid of him for good. In the meantime he cares for his beloved familiar, who he keeps hidden from Mucus during the day, and enjoying knitting and crafting with their silk.

Vultur's favored familiar is a Flesh Forager. Vultur has gone though several birds in her time as Guildmaster of Emperor's Bane, the current of which being named Carrion. Her packs used to raise the raptors to assist in hunting and sending messages, a tradition that Vultur alone maintains. She buys the trained familiars from a respectable falconer settled on Rotrock Rim, taking the journey herself on foot. Carrion is extremely well-trained, able to follow his dragon's complex orders to assist with Field Division work - and also has no qualms with attacking on command. As Vultur directs her troops on the ground, Carrion circles above her, giving the Mirror an extra set of eagle-eyes. 		Flesh Forager
