On your own mission to explore the lair that you were staying in, you stumble across a room almost tucked away from everything else. The door is easy to miss and in fact, you almost do miss it. If it wasn't for the sound of someone humming inside, you very well might have walked right past. Yet you didn't, and now you're opening the door to peer inside. It's a strange room, with drawings and carving scattered all about the walls. Some things are written in words you cannot understand despite your attempts. The source of the humming is a Pearlcatcher towards the back of the room.

He doesn't turn to look at you, though he acknowledges your existence. Almost as if he were expecting you to show up. There is a calming air about him as the dragon pauses his humming, finishing what he was doing before getting up to turn towards you. He's breathtaking, though it's only then that you realize he's blind. There are no words spoken whenever he hands over a small scroll to you, words written in it that you cannot understand. Yet the feeling that rushes through you makes you wonder if you even want to know. The air turns thick and somber. He doesn't tell you either, cloudy eyes closing for a moment before his claws were sliding away to leave the parchment in your grasp. As you turn to head back outside, the humming resumes and you can't help but wonder if the golden strands racing across his body marked each tear that left those eyes that saw nothing, yet everything.
