Dovewing is one of several healers. She finds several plants that no one else knew of. Plants that could potentially help or harm so she gives them to Duskwalker for observations. Dovewing also finds some catnip plants whenever she goes out to gather plants and various other items for spells and medicines. The catnip goes straight to her mate, Root, since he rescues abandoned cats and strays wondering the streets of Oceanside Port. Her brilliance helps the healers and mages because of how many plants she's identified prior to finding newer plants and items. She also learns what the new items are so she can identify them when out foraging. Living life as a healer with a brilliant mind can be tough at times. Always with the other healers so that when they find the plants, she can help them identify which is which. Which is good and which is bad.
"I may be brilliant, but at least I don't burn out often. Root always makes it possible that I would get breaks when needed. By that, I mean he brings a cat or two over or bring me to the animal shelter to pet all the animals! I take him to Mystic Burst when he needs a break. Drinking tea and talking about other things besides work always fill me with happiness. You wouldn't believe how many stories from his old home town he has. Speaking of old home towns, I should write my parents a letter... I know how much they love receiving letters from me."

҉ Beyond the curses ҉
Dovewing helps the mages with getting rid of curses when the occasional one pops up in the Infirmary. She thinks of great counter attacks on said curses. Brilliance of creating counter attacks, separating plants by what they are and what they do, helping everyone as much as she can, Dovewing loves taking a break by going on walks and spending time with Root. Taking breaks is always good so there will be little to no burnout. By going on walks, she lets her mind clear, her body to stretch and get fresh air in her from being cooped up in a single room. Sure, she likes working with her fellow mages and healers, but even they insist that she should take a break whenever needed.
"The other healers and mages are like my chosen family, besides Root, when I came to this town. They care for my wellbeing and help me when I can't help anymore. I love them so much, maybe one day I can repay back all their generosity. I think, giving them food and materials they need should be a good enough repayment. That and either taking them on one on one walks, the occasional group walk or even taking them to Mystic Burst for catching up on our personal lives!" |
