Gladen

When they're not taking care of the dragonets, or tending to the plants, they're assisting hunting and scavenging parties.

They are mature but they do know how and when to have fun. They take their jobs very seriously but still like to incorperate joy and laughter into their daily tasks. They are very experimental and curious, and just love to challenge what other dragons think is the 'norm,' whether that is trying new foods, combat styles, or even styles of clothing. They love to try new things, or make them themself if they can't find anything. They have befriended a familiar, a Living Luminance called Lumin. Lumin has no gender but only responds to the pronouns it/its.

Lumin is a trickster and loves to play harmless pranks on Gladen and their friends, like Khala and Aralyn. It seems to have feelings just as strong as any dragons and gets very angry when tied somewhere. It has an odd sense of humor and finds most things funny. It is very good at dancing and will put on shows for the children. It can change how bright it is so whenever it finds a dragonet where they're not supposed to be it will light itself up really bright while dragging the dragonet back. It loves to tease and be mean to Sadol, and overall doesn't have as sweet of a relationship with Sadol as it does with the others.


HOW THEY JOINED

The leaves gently sway in the wind. The dark night was lit up with the silvery light of the moon. They sat down, their warm fur keeping out the cold that seeped from the ground, the trees, the very air itself. They looked put at the neighboring domains. They were at the very edge of the Viridian Labyrinth, to the west was Dragonhome and south of that was Tangled Wood. Wingbeats sounded not too far away. They were here.

Two dragons broke through the trees into the clearing. One of them was a familiar face. A familiar Obelisk with amethyst scales that fade into midnight at his clawtips. Light midnight fur and indigo wings. Patterns of almost eyes and small constellations marked his scales, fur, and wings. He wore the same healers outfit that Gladen had seen a couple times in Dragonhome. His face lit up with joy when he saw them.

"Gladen, my boy! Look how you've grown! Such a strong boy, you are!" He said.

"Uhm- Archspell- Dad, " Archspell stopped and gave them a curious look, prompting them to go on, "I'm a female, a girl, not a boy. And I use they/them pronouns. And I prefer feminine terms" Gladen worried at one of their claws, too afraid to look back up at him.

But Archspell just grinned. "Thats alright! You'll always be accepted here! My strong daughter!" He nudged their cheek with his snout. He then turned to his companion. His companion was a Guardian. He had cerulean scales with wave foam-like patterns that were darker shades of blue. His wings were almost completely transparent with it fading into a cornflower color near the edges. He had grape and pale red colored peacock patterns on his wings and scattered around his body. He was beautiful.

"Cloudeyes! Look!," He put a wing around Gladen. "My s- daughter! They're my daughter!" He looked so proud. "Gladen! This is a friend of mine, Cloudeyes. Cloudy joined around the same time I did!"

"It's nice to meet you, Gladen." He said in a kind voice. He ducked his head when Gladen turned to smile at him.

"Its nice to meet you too." They said. Their eyes met for a moment, and reluctantly Gladen looked away.

"One more question dad.. Wheres mom? Wheres Starstone?" Gladen asked.

Archspells smile faltered for a moment, but he quickly pulled it back up. "Your mother left a little while ago with Della. Important business in Graveflow, Featherfern said." He flicked back his wings a bit and looked up at the moon.

"Anyway! Why are you here? Not that I'm not happy you're here or anything!" He asked, all smiles again.

"I used to live alone in Terraclae, but I got bored of the endless dust and the digging tunnels out until my claws were bloody and I was coughing out literal dust, plus I remember when we last spoke and you told me of this place." They waved their wings to mention everything around them. "So I decided, 'whats the harm in coming here?'"

"Well come with us! We'll show you where our main base of operations is. I'm sure you'll like the dragons there! Ylsa is very kind and cute and Starstruck is very loud and outgoing, plus you'll really like.." Archspell rambled on, but Gladen wasn't even listening. They were now walking side by side with Cloudeyes, and they couldn't help but stare. Cloudeyes just stared back.

Little did the two know, this was the start of a beautiful family.
