"I am the first, but I will not be the last."
There is something moving among the trees, something that should not be there. Eden listens carefully as whatever-it-is tries to sneak by him and deeper into his father's domain. Here, so far out, it is unlikely that the intruder has seen anything they shouldn't, but the fact that they are obviously attempting to go farther in is enough of an indicator of their intent. This would not be the first time one of his misguided relatives has tried to reach his father and disrupt his work. Eden doubts it will be the last either - if that indeed is what this is - but he will repel them all the same.
The intruder makes a mistake, snapping a dry twig still attatched to the tree, and they freeze and go quiet as they realize what they have done. Eden allows them a few moments of quiet, just enough time that they may begin to think that their blunder has gone unnoticed. They don't seem to have realized that he has been tailing them for some time now. A part of him wonders if they ever would if he were not about to reveal himself.
He drops through the branches toward the disturbance below and lands silently on needle-claws and cloth, gripping the wood so he doesn't slide. The intruder, revealed now as a tiny fae - smaller even than him - squeaks in surprise and beats their wings at him, crest flared. Eden snarls at the smaller dragon, sharp fangs on full display, "Leave. Now." His voice wobbles through the air, unearthly and unsettling and the fae shudders at the sound of it, beating a hasty retreat.
It is simple to follow them back to the boundary, and he watches as they continue well out of visual distance with some speed. He is confident that it will be some time before there is another. But when that time comes, he need not be so friendly. Before this one there was one other, who he also warned away and simply chased from the area. When the third one comes, he will not be so gentle.
