BIOGRAPHY

Though she technically works on Chamomile's farm, Lacerta is almost never seen in the Refuge. She lives among the pine trees that border it and is almost something of a woodland spirit. Having developed a close friendship with the Gaoler during their time in the Viridian Labyrinth, Chamomile is one of the only dragons Lacerta will regularly reveal herself to. She is aloof, mysterious, and cares more for the company of the forest than other dragons. Chamomile is something of an exception; the two can sit together for hours among the trees in complete silence.

Lacerta is primarily self-sufficient, rarely crossing the borders of the town. However, the area is her home, and multiple trees around the Refuge can be found with tiny hollows carved into them. She furnishes each of her different lairs with different kinds of herbs and spices, and the smell from each is aromatic and distinct. Her work in the Refuge is among the most valuable of any dragon; her Nature magic is vital to the growth of crops, and even the grittiest soil can bloom after the dusting of her wingbeats.

BIOGRAPHY

The mere presence of others has always been overwhelming for Lacerta. Born into a Veilspun colony deep in the Shrieking Wilds, Lacerta is made anxious when surrounded by large crowds and noise. The Viridian Labyrinth was just too loud and competitive; the Veilspun who surrounded her seemed to live life at a pace that Lacerta could never keep up with. Physically and mentally exhausted by her surroundings, Lacerta fled deeper and deeper into the Labyrinth.

At the heart of the forest, Lacerta finally found silence. Flitting into an open clearing, Lacerta landed on what she believed to be a large rock covered in moss. She quickly realized that the rock was a hulking Gaoler, and Chamomile quietly introduced himself. Lacerta was wary at first, but his peaceful aura intrigued her, and the two became fast friends. They eventually left the Viridian Labyrinth to find a quiet spot to settle; eventually, they found their way to Sundry's Refuge, where Lacerta cares for crops and wild trees in equal measure.
