the broken prince (he/him)
you only see him from a distance, trudging along behind his companions, a white wolf cheerfully prancing beside him. he looks downtrodden and not particularly aware of his surroundings, confirmed when the ridgeback's swaying tail nearly knocks him over. she gives him an irritated look, which he doesn't respond to. he just gets back up and keeps going.
his clothes remind you of royalty in their cut and elegance, but have been desecrated with rips, mud, and blood. the larger horn on his face has been broken off, and from the look of the scab over the blood vessel within, relatively recently. he carries no pearl, nor do any of his companions. an outcast, then, an exile from his community. the skydancer looks back at him from time to time, as does the imperial, but neither of them say a thing to him. and what can they say? no words, nothing at all, can ever give him back what he's lost.
