Bio
Once there was a hatchling who lived on the fringes of a small clan of guardians. Unnamed and restless, the hatchling left their home early to start their Search, but despite his early start they proved to be a late bloomer. After a considerably long Search chasing story after story of hidden temples and cursed prophets, the nameless dragon wandered into an old, forgotten forest.
It was a place of thick fog and brambles, and impossibly tangled trees. The trees of this forest were like no other; they grew in tall arcs whose branches dripped with silkworms, whose winds sing like wild hounds, whose leaves and mosses were soft as fine velvet, whose bark repelled his claws as confidently as iron. He felt he could spend an eternity tracing a single tree's branches, for any tree was impossible to clearly distinguish from the next for how their trunks would weave together. Entranced as he was by the place, they forgot about the most recent story they had been chasing and wandered deeper.
In the heart of the woods he found the half-living husk of a once great tree with bright flora bursting from it's knotted roots. It struck him then that this tangled forest made for a spacious home, and the tangled paths and thick fog would provide protection, and the forest and rivers would give bountiful food. In the heart of the forest they realized their Search was over.
The guardian gave themself a name -Velvet Iron- and a purpose -to grow and foster the clan that would call this place home.
