Balamb is the only remnant left of my temporary fling with Piebald/whatever/Thylacine dragons. Yes, he's a mess. His ear wings are a totally different color from the rest of him aside from a few streaks in his wings and as if he wasn't busy enough, I added to it by putting a flower petals accent on him. I have no regrets.

FF8 is a mixed bag and loads of people hate it, which I get. Part of why I love it is that it was my first Final Fantasy game, so it's how I was introduced to the franchise. But the other part of why I love it is that I love a good trainwreck, and FF8's plot definitely qualifies. Relatedly, Balamb is the name of the school that Squall and his buddies go to in order to learn to be missionaries. Balamb can also secretly fly. Like float up from the spot where it lives and go wandering across the continent. Yep.
