• originally a normal water spiral
• some kind of plague parasite or pathogen leeched into the waters near her birthplace and infected her, taking control of her body.
• since then, she prowls below the surface, deep enough that the sun can’t bother her sensitive eyes. she preys on anything she can catch, including dragons.
•she blends in perfectly with the ocean, aside from the visible infection on her face.
• her vocal chords fell victim to the parasite and she cannot form words.
• other side effects of the infection include a supernatural recovery rate, supernatural strength, a disregard for danger or pain, and possibly decreased sensitivity to pain
