I cannot decide lore on you. Gaaaah.

Izumi's a Snapper with two elements (wind and water); she suffers from health problems as a result of the conflicting elements inside her. Besides dangerous magical surges, and deadly fevers, water constantly pours from her body, causing her to get everything wet. She also suffers from bloating as a result of her volatile wind magic.

She became very cynical, resentful and depressed with a lot of self-hatred, until she found love and acceptance from a light dragon who served as an herbalist and botanist, who eventually grew to care for her as though she was her own daughter. After much time, Izumi healed physically and mentally, between the treatments and love from that dragon and her family. She's more optimistic and positive now as she learns to accept and love herself too, embracing her condition and learning to live with it.

Living with that dragon's family, Izumi grows a fondness for things that grow. She eventually finds a place where her condition is a blessing, working for that light dragon's mate, who oversees and cares for the clan's rice terraces. Her physique as a snapper allows her to efficiently shape the land to grow rice, quickly hydrating the soil with the water that pours from herself.

As a blessing, I think she'd get it from a unicorn or something pure and magical like that. Being sickly, she found herself near death all alone in a forest. The creature offered to give it's life to save her but she refused, she didn't want to harm the creature just to save herself, even as close to dying as she was. The creature blessed her with life giving water that would forever sustain her. At first it just filled her and gave her energy, it didn't run out until she met an animal/dragon that needed some water/healing. Once it started pouring out she allowed it to constantly flow, saturating the land she walked over and healing/blessing it. You can always tell where she's been because she leaves a trail of greenery behind. Of course with healing water constantly flowing from her, people probably try to use her or capture her, so that could be something you can explore as well.

As a curse, perhaps she drank from a sacred pool/cursed pool and it physically changed her. A bit of body horror going on with the bamboo coming out of her back and the plants taking root in her skin. It made her feel wrong and like a monster, the constantly flowing water didn't help, it forever reminded her of what she'd become. She tried ripping the plants out, stopping up the water, but all she did was hurt herself in the process. The water is just normal water in this scenario, and perhaps it's constant flow drains her energy, making her not only sickly but fatigued as well. Or, it's hard for her to sleep, fearing that she'd drown in the water her own body produces. She'd be miserable until she learned to live with it. Perhaps she starts a garden, a lake, something similar to that, that she takes care of and tends to in order to make the curse a little more bearable.

As a "blessing", it'd come from another dragon thinking they're doing good. Perhaps they see her struggling, sick and thirsty, so they give her the ability never to be thirsty again. They leave before they realize just what that means for her. It would be highly similar to the curse, just with more pure water, perhaps even healing water. It would make her feel othered and monstrous, the body horror again if you choose to have it. In this scenario, she'd get over the feeling of horror easier, able to look at it as less a curse and a bit more a blessing. I still feel she'd either travel and offer water to those that need it, or find a garden/lake to keep watch over.
