Biography

"Perhaps the Arcanist will judge me for putting love before progress. I find that I do not care."

Though she originated from the Water Flight, Latashia felt as if she did not belong there. It was always something that sat uncomfortably in the back of her mind, like a parasitic worm was making its home there. Her connection to Water magic was tenuous at best, and her peers outshone her at almost every turn. The longer she stayed, the more she felt judged, what was supposed to be her home slowly turning into a prison.

So, she left. If her Clan didn't want her, she didn't want them.

Latashia's trip across the Territories eventually led her to the Starfall Isles, where she found that she fit in with the highly analytical, slightly eccentric dragons that called it home. Arcane magic came to her more naturally than Water magic ever did, and she soon became a member of an Arcane Clan. She spent a long while there without issue, though things began to change when the Clan received a visitor.

Dymura was something of an anomaly. Born and raised in the Scarred Wasteland, mostly among dragons not even of his own breed, he didn't act much like a Fae. He used his tone of voice to communicate, and didn't use his crests for much that other breeds wouldn't be able to understand. He seemed out of place now that he was amongst other Fae, and he was quick to bond with Latashia over their status as outsiders to the Clan. Her fellows disapproved of the friendship, much the same as they did with most things involving Dymura, but didn't try to quell it despite their distrust of the Plague-aligned Fae.

Neither Dymura nor Latashia were especially surprised when they were run off from the Clan after their clutch of eggs was discovered, and though Latashia grieved the loss of her other companions, she refused to leave the only dragon who truly understood her. Their eggs hatched the night after they crossed the border into the Scarred Wasteland, and Latashia carried their hatchlings all the way to their new home in the Rotmarrow Clan.
