Chip was sent to the Emberglow Hollow to be eventually sent to the Flamecaller. During her (what was meant to be) short stay in the hollow, she assisted Mynt with some deliveries. The two ended up getting along rather well, and when he realized that Chip was going to be exalted in a matter of hours, he didn’t want her to go.

The both of them went to the leaders of the hollow, and asked them to let Chip stay. They agreed, on the condition that Chip would join Mynt as a secondary courier. She happily accepted this condition, and now delivers messages and packages alongside her partner.
