A decision
Roanne could sense the evil standing in front of her. River had said it was their sister, that she had been cursed by a demon and they had to save her from the creature she had become. But there was no way this thing was the sweet Rue she had once known.

River first tried calling out to it, calling Rue's name, trying to reach through to what she once was. But Roanne could tell it was falling on deaf ears.

All that demon wanted was blood. There was nothing even remotely recognizable as a civilized dragon remaining there.

As River drew closer, Roanne grabbed her, wary of the danger. But it was no use, she was determined to rescue their sister.

The love pouring forth from River's heart only seemed to confuse the demon, but it soon led to anger. Roanne saw the moment it attacked, but was too slow to save her sister from the sharp teeth and claws that pierced her skin.

Although she managed to fight off the demon, it was too late for her sister, who lay in a pool of blood. Her dying eyes did not reflect regret of fear. She was just happy she had at least tried.

That night, Roanne ran. She ran, far off to contact their last sibling. There was only one measure left now. There was no bringing back Rue.

The only choice they had now was to kill it.
