 Not all dragons are born with the stars in their eyes. Some would rather keep to the shadows, hidden as they work out their machinations alone. Austre was one such dragon, refusing to chase after big dreams. Ae considered them to be worthless, and instead stayed away from aer siblings as they did so. Eventually, aer parents kicked Austre out, not wanting to deal with aer cynical attitude.

Austre considered this a good thing, however. Unbothered by aer siblings, Austre found aerself working even harder. Austre loved writing things down, all things ae found on their travels. Being kicked out of aer home allowed Austre to focus more on aer studies. Eventually, Austre stumbled upon the Moonlit Waves, after traveling far enough where ae had almost completely filled eighteen notebooks and sketchbooks full of knowledge. The dragon Austre met was Rheanna, who had set off to study things as well. Austre and Rheanna became good friends, and Austre was distraught to find Rheanna had not only a husband, but a son as well. Despite this, the two continue a good friendship to this day.

Although Aislinn was hesitate to allow Austre to stay in the Waves due to aer... cynical attitude, she was eventually convinced by Rheanna and others. The scribes were having troubles, and need scribes was always welcomed into their ranks. Seeing no choice but to allow Austre, Aislinn assigned them to the division of Xeiseil. Austre hated the confines of the empire, and how ae was expected to have many different duties. Either way, ae performed these duties well. But Austre still feels like staying on the outskirts of the empire, finding the big dreams of other dragons annoying.
