Biography

(please forgive me, her bio is under construction \: )

Give a welcome to this beautiful bab who joined the clan on the afternoon of 1-20-23 at 12: pm, who is also one of the clan's Astronomers! :D

Personality:
(words)

Family:
Starborn came from a clan that situated themselves in the territory of Wind, much like her current clan does. She was born to the only nest her parents had together, though they were not unacquainted with the prospect of having children for they both had had a clutch or two beforehand with other partners. She is the oldest out of this clutch, however, and as such, became the ringleader of their small group until everyone grew up & left home, becoming like a secondary parent to them, without usurping or taking over her actual parent's roles, since they were still there. She happily lead her sisters around the clan and became close with them all, being a very good older sister to them :) They all joked, since they all got their mother's Pearl Fade, Blend & Sparkle genes, that Mayu had had mini copies of her following her around wherever she went, and Starborn felt like she was looking in a mirror at times, too. Katalar was disappointed at first that none of his genes won out this time, but took it in stride and he learned to be happy for his daughters, no matter how they looked & saw the beauty in each. While growing up in the Wind clan, she adopted some of the Flight's laidback mannerisms, but was always on the search for knowledge, and when not leading her sisters around or relaxing around the clan, she was very inquisitive & asking all that she could about info on the world around her from those in the clan that had any to offer. With this going on, some joked that this was perhaps a holdover in her from the breed that she was a part of as many knew they were once Light dragons, created by the Illuminated One, and they valued knowledge & scholarly pursuits above all else. She'd laugh this off however, not knowing exactly why but not wanting to give in to that as the whole reason and thus continued her pursuit of those in the clan that might've had any insight on things. When she'd gotten her fill of that, however, she found they ran out of answers for her questions, and so, decided to leave the clan in search of more information that others in the land possessed & could relay to her. So, with this in mind, she took to the Auction House to see where she may land, which inadvertently inspired her sisters to do the same, so the whole posse found themselves signing up to leave the clan.
Which is where a clan that was situated in the Starwood Strand found her & thus took her in. With this, she began her inquiries once again, settling in and getting to know everyone there while she questioned them. They welcomed her & her questions and many were happy to teach her new things, especially with it being a clan in a domain she was unfamiliar with. With it being an Arcane-based clan, she devoted herself to studying what they studied and fell in love with the magics of the land. The magics of the land didn't love her, however, and thus, being a non-Arcane dragon in an Arcane-infused realm without any protection, took its toll on her over time as she could feel her health beginning to be warped by the warped energies of the realm. She was saddened to see this was happening and tried her best to stick it out & brave it, but eventually it came down to asking herself which was more important: her health or her studies? She reasoned she needed her health to continue her studies, and thus, packed her bags and took to the Auction House once again. It was a few days before someone found her however, and she was really beginning to think the end was nigh, despite the clan's best healers doing what they could on her, for they'd seen it before and were saddened to see any of their comrades suffering, and she gave up hope of finding a new life elsewhere.
But when the clan leader approached her smiling giddily & holding a pouch of currency that jangled with each movement, everything changed. They told her arrangements had been made & she'd been bought and that it was time for her to go to her new home, and with what strength she had left, she mustered a smile and joined the trade that lead her to her current clan.
Upon arrival, she was greeted by a Gaurdian, Fae, Skydancer and a Nocturne, and each introduced themselves in turn as the clan leaders, and the Nocturne who oversaw the Nursey & new arrivals of the clan being situated nicely. They could see that she was in poor health however, and after a round of inductions & being shown where she would stay, they took her right away to the clan healers, Zelkiron & (name), where she stayed in their infirmary until she could get back on her claws (feet). While she was there, however, she didn't let her poor health deter her from her inquisitive mind and began asking her questions once again.
As she also relayed to the others about her past life, word got around to the clan mages, and a pink & white Skydancer in pink garb donning crystal-like structures that grew on her head and down her neck approached her one day, followed by a pink Spiral who wore a flowing pink gown that was encircled by a powerful orb of energy surrounding & engulfing the coiling dragon that eventually shot off blasts of energy here and there. She could tell they were both powerful beings by their garb & presence, as the Skydancer looked at her with compassion, while the Spiral watched the other dragon inquisitively, as how one might look to their mentor for answers. "Oh, you poor thing," the Skydancer said, speaking in a soft, hushed tone. "I know what you're going through," she continued, "as I too loved to venture to the realm of the Arcanist. Though being a Shadow dragon, it didn't love me back, as you can see," she said and gestured to the dark-pink crystalline-like growths that spanned the length of her arms and neck, creating a magnificent headdress of twisted shards around her head, on the fringes of her feathers, and Starborn noted her purple eyes as well. "It's called Beauty Blight, for those entranced by the Arcanist's beauty and the splendor of the realm are often unaware of the blight that's affected them, before it's nearly too late. It manifests itself in different ways, however, sometimes physically by causing growths along the limbs," The Skydancer continued, and again gestured to herself, "or internally by sapping one of their energy and beginning to warp their insides, both literally and figuratively," and motioned the the Imperial. Starborn nodded at this, for what she felt had felt just like that, a twisting and contortion of her insides, her mind as well as her flesh, as she had begun to question her sanity & grip on reality at points. "Thankfully the physical manifestation is pretty much harmless, though a bit of an annoyance as it can weigh you down and constrict movement, but I've been told the latter is much worse to experience. There is little dragons can do who aren't Arcane-born to relieve it save from leaving the realm or wearing magical protection pieces like I do," she continued with, and motioned to a pearlescent necklace that glimmered in the light at the base of her neck, "though some physicalities still remain, even for the protection and inhibitors. Thank the gods that you left, for it looks like you got out of there just in time," she added, noting the Imperial's recovering pallor. Starborn nodded once again at this, saying how lucky she was she noticed the signs and knew not to stay there anymore, to which the Skydancer agreed & said she was very wise for, for being such a young dragon to which Starborn beamed.
And from there, a friendship was struck up between the trio, and she learned their names were ValentineCherub, the clan's mage, and StarSpell, the other clan mage, understudy of ValentineCherub and the clan's Arcane Representative. They shared their journey with her of how ValentineCherub felt she was an Arcane dragon at heart despite being born under Shadow and that the Arcanist himself took pity on her & had given her the necklace himself and how StarSpell was born with incredible magic that manifested itself in the sphere around her and, with Valentine's help, was working to control it. They became close as the Imperial worked with them, continuing her magical studies a safe distance away from the Arcane-infused realm, and it began to help her recover as well. Working with them, she found a love of the stars and constellations that dotted the night sky and decided to pour herself into learning all she could of the celestial bodies, studying with them and others in the clan who also made this their focuses. She also decided to make that her focus, and joined them in their pursuits, joining the ranks of the astronomers in the clan as she discovered her Role.
With her journey of doing so, she'd heard about the treks ValentineCherub & StarSpell would take to the magically-imbued land of the Arcanist and often wished she could accompany them. She made it known to the Skydancer one day, and Valentine felt saddened that she couldn't join them for her advanced stages of the Beauty Blight and knew that it'd be dangerous for her to return in her state, and thought to see what she could do to help the Imperial and came up with a solution. So, one day, when they again made to journey to the land of pink and Starborn watched them go, Valentine approached her with a gift, and gave her a purple cloak that she'd endowed with protection for the Imperial, and Starborn was overjoyed at the thoughtfulness of her gift & at being included, and from then on, often joined them when they made their treks for their study.
Along the way of discovering her Role and her recovery, a Spiral had taken note of the lovely Imperial and was watching from afar, a bit shy at first to say anything. He too was working on discovering his Role & honing his abilities, and in his free time, found himself wandering the Imperial's way. He wasn't sure if she ever paid him any mind, but he still hung around, observing, just in case. He tried to see what was so fascinating to her about the astronomy and joined several sessions trying to learn, but often felt as though it was above his head and so he just let them be to their talks.
But one day when he was leaving from listening in, he ran into the Imperial in the hall, and saw how she seemed to be struggling with walking and keeping a steady gait. She tried to hide it but he caught on, noting every movement with his big, observant Spiral eyes, and when she swayed too much from her balance giving out, he zipped up to her side, trying to do what he could to stabilize the larger dragon. "Are you alright?" he asked once she was balanced again and after she thanked him, and then she took a moment to respond as she also seemed to be having difficulty breathing. "I think so," she said hesitantly, when her breathing was under control. "Forgive me, I think it's leftovers from the Beauty Blight ValentineCherub told me about when I arrived," she continued, but when she noted the Spiral's confused stare, she went into the information of her past before she'd come to the clan and everything she'd learned thereafter meeting the skydancer. "Wow, Beauty Blight, I've never heard of that," the Spiral said when she finished. "Suppose it makes sense, since there's not many Arcane dragons here, though," he added as he thought of the few Arcane dragons he knew from his time of joining the world. Starborn nodded slowly for the movement sent her head spinning for a moment and took a deep breath again. "I'm mostly healed from the warping the energies of the land did to me, but Zelkiron warned me there'd still be residual side effects that would manifest over time as everything still works to right itself inside," Starborn continued as she motioned to herself and a pain shot from her stomach through her as if proving her point. Her arm shook slightly a second later, causing her to wobble and throw off her balance again and lean on the Spiral once more, if only for a second. She blushed at her own failing, but the Spiral only looked to her with compassion and held her up for as long as she needed, saying he was happy to help if need-be. She was thankful for that and then it was then that she recognized the Spiral as the blue dragon who hung on the fringes of their classes, who chimed in from time to time but mostly just listened. "Hey, I've seen you before, haven't I?" she asked, seeing to inquire if this was true. The Spiral's eyes widened at this as a feeling rushed through him that came with the feeling knowing that he'd been caught and he bowed his head abashedly next, as he tried to hide a blush that rose across his cheeks as he sheepishly said "Yeahhh." Starborn was curious as to his reaction and pressed further. "You're the one who comes to our astronomy classes, and stays on the fringes & just watches, right?" He closed his eyes at this and pressed his lips thin as he willed himself not to speak, but figured there wasn't any point to denying it anymore and nodded his head once more. He realized he had to come clean and his heart fluttered a mile a minute as he spoke then, telling her the reason why he attended those classes, as the reason was to see the eye-catching dragon who stood before him for she had cuaght his eye.. and he was a tad interested.. She blushed at that, not realizing or figuring how much attention she'd caused the others to have on her, at least the attention of this dragon before her, and grew a bit awkward herself as all she said was "Oh." "Yeahh," the Spiral repeated as his eyes darted all around and he too felt awkward and became unsure of what to say next. In this silence, Starborn was thinking and evaluating things in her life and realized how she didn't have a partner yet and few friends in the clan outside of the Arcane & Astronomy circle, and realized she had always wondered what it might be like to be with someone. There was a little nagging feeling in her saying she wished she had someone, and from talking to others in the clan, she knew it'd only get worse if left alone and if she never found anyone in due time, so she thought of the dragon before her if he may be someone to consider for that role. It definitely seemed fitting, as he more or less had just said he'd had feelings for her, so there was definitely a start to it and so she made to speak. The Spiral had gone internally himself as well, feeling as though with the prolonged silence that spanned that she was judging him and now was going to turn him down so he was preparing himself for the blow and made to say that he understood if she said no, so they spoke at the same time. Both missed what the other said, however, and laughed at this, sharing a moment of levity. With this, they both apologized and both said the other could go first which only prompted more laughter from the pair. Then, once the laughter calmed down, the Spiral lowered his ears and bowed his head to her, saying "Ladies first," in a very gentle-drake-ly (gentlemanly) way to which she smiled to. She grinned happily and told him what she was thinking and asked one of the most important questions she probly ever had when she inquired if he would like to see where things may go since he already had feelings there, and stated that she would be curious, at least. The Spiral gritted his teeth and flattened his ears, bracing himself for the blow, but he perked up a second later at her inquiry, and rubbed his ears to make sure he'd heard right. "Really?" he asked, just to be sure, and looked at her with wide eyes as a happy feeling began to rise in him. "Yeah, sure, I'd be willing to," she said then trailed off as she worried she might've scared him with her sudden openness and made to add to be respectful "unless you don't want to, of course, I wouldn't want to be too forward or rush things." The Spiral blinked as he processed what'd just happened and once his brain cells were firing again, he got his jaw to work and said "No, no, no, yeah, sure, of course, that'd be fine. I wasn't expecting such a response but that'd be great," he said as he beamed and the happiness soared through him. Starborn smiled at that and with that, they struck up a relationship as they got to know one another and she learned his name was OceanMist and he lead her back to her room that day, helping her along the way when her walking became unsteady, and she'd come to lean on him more through time, more than just literally as they grew into a very loving bond, becoming a very sweet couple. From there, their love blossomed & flourished, and they became happily wedded later on, spending their life together and trying to partake in one another's Roles to be supportive of one another.
(talk about how, in her pursuit of knowledge, she wanted to learn about combat & fighting, and how she was on a previous team in her home clan & wanted to learn more, so they made a team together & took to the coli field where they also fight together, along with a Gaurdian named Betta & form another powerful team in the clan, and how they all work together really well ^^) )
(talk about how met Familiar--date received: 1-21-23, night after her arrival; date Awakened: 9-2-23 )

Role in the Clan:
As stated above, Starborn is now a clan Astronomer! When she is not on the battlefield with her husband, enjoying herself around the clan, studying with the Spiral & Skydancer duo & accompanying them on their trips to the Arcanists' Isles, she can be found pursuing her endless thirst for knowledge of the heavenly objects above her & following around all those in the clan who also pursue this chosen field of academics within the clan as well :D

Goals:
if we ever change her name, one suggestion is..
