Biography
LUCIUS formerly cursed shy | loyal | captivated |
About An Aberration who is recovering from being cursed for centuries. Lucius prefers to be alone, wandering the outskirts of the Rest on nights when the moons are bright and full. Though he is being cared for by kind-hearted residents, he has nobody in the Rest he would consider a friend. Only his prince, Lune, who he has been reunited with through some twist of fate.

Story
Lucius has not always been an Aberration. Centuries ago, when he served as Lune's most trusted advisor and bodyguard, he was a Wildclaw. Well versed in war, he tried to convince Lune to continue fighting against the encroaching forces of Plague. When Lune remained steadfast in his decision to flee, Lucius went with him, sealing him away into an enchanted sleep. Shortly after, he was captured and branded a traitor. His own comrades threw him onto the battlefield, unarmed, where he was forced to surrender and be taken as a prisoner of war. The Plague army was predictably harsh on him once they learned he was a traitor, throwing him into the Wyrmwound to be judged by the Plaguebringer herself.
When Lucius emerged from the soup of disease, indistinguishable from the Wildclaw that went in, the Plague dragons still were not finished with him. They disagreed with the Plaguebringer's judgement, believing that letting Lucius live was too merciful, let alone transforming him into one of their ancient warriors. They subdued him again, and sealed him in a chitinous prison, a living but immobile statue. He was placed in a warlord's fortress and used as an example for those who would turn their back on their fellows.
Centuries passed, and the story behind the strange statue that contained Lucius was forgotten. The dragon himself eventually scrounged up enough magic for his own enchanted sleep, but it was shallow, and he tended to wake up when he was being moved. He was moved many times, shuffled from fortress to fortress and eventually to market, where a curious Sergei picked him up and brought him to Traveler's Rest. Upon arrival at the Rest, Sintara noticed something off with the statue, and brought it to Sylph. The Ice mage's skill was able to break the shell around Lucius, who emerged to a much different place than the brutal Wasteland. Disoriented after centuries of dozing, he wandered deep into the Borderwood, where he came upon a garden of beautiful, night-blooming flowers. And there, shining in the moonlight, was his prince.
